"Adonis, we really have to see the doctor in a few minutes." Heather interrupted. Adonis wasn't trying to remind Caius of anything true, he was baiting him.
She always forgot how smart he is; despite being the devil himself.
"No, you don't. Everything's that's been happening here doesn't feel normal." Adonis said as he went closer.
Why is he acting like he knows something? He's only suspecting.
"What do you mean? Caius has to see a specialist for his knee." This wasn't a lie, she did need to see a specialist for Caius leg, to discuss further what could be done for him to walk again.
But the lie is; the specialist's appointment is only in a few days and not today.
"Stop playing the fool. I know you too well to know you're not that naivé."
