In a place far from Earth, in the world of darkness, in a vast kingdom, a young man sits on the throne wearing a black robe, surrounded by all his teams, also dressed in black robes.
"I know nothing about love, how can I find someone who loves me? I have been fighting myself, and no one has pulled me out of my darkness. Is this what fate wants, or is it what I want? In the blue castle, the team gathers for training to win the global strength competition. Every year, one of the sons of Pyrion holds a competition, and the team that earns the most points becomes the strongest team in the world. The red team has won the prize every year, dominating all the teams in the world, while the blue team and the other teams from Pyrion have never won any prize.
Over 100 countries participate in the World of the Strong, and the first place went to the red team from Pyrion, the second to the Hiyakal team from Noctaria, and the third to the Earth Spears team from Azoria.
The leader does not participate in the competition; only their team does. Upon winning, the team gains the ability to fight in red gates.
Dinko and Olivia went to fight monsters to strengthen their abilities. They entered the forest.
"I heard there are black-type monsters here."
This forest is one of the most terrifying for hunters. If you enter it, you won't come out unharmed because of the presence of the forest king, a black lion that prohibits civilians from entering—only hunters are allowed. Night began to fall, and something started moving between the trees with a faint sound. The team kept looking behind and ahead.
"A person is hiding behind us."
They weren't hiding; they wanted the team to stop. Around them were countless white lions, but the king was not among them.
The team began to fight, but the army commander appeared and used his ability to paralyze them.
He took them to the king in a palace inside the forest.
"My king, we have captured hunters. Bring them in, guards."
"Leave me."
The king beheaded the army commander.
"You've revealed my location, you fool."
The entire blue team was hiding and had concealed their presence, making the guards unable to detect them. Grind, Dinko, and Olivia were the bait.
Around the forest king, the blue team had set a trap. The beast thought they were the predators, but it was the opposite.
"Do you think you can kill me?"
"I'll make you my meal."
"Kill them, soldiers!"
Grind and Dinko began fighting his army.
Grind used his ability, "Soul Sever," and cut the souls of the entire army in seconds.
"You seem very strong, human."
The beast used his ability, "Breath Steal," cutting off the breath of everyone, targeting selected individuals. The entire team fell, and the beast automatically moved to strike Grind, stomping on his back. Grind screamed in pain, bleeding. Olivia, Dinko, and Brian fainted. The beast began extracting crystals from them.
Grind, in pain, screamed as the beast kicked him while he was on the ground.
"Leave them, you monster!"
The beast grabbed Grind's hair and pulled it hard.
"You humans will all perish because of your weakness. Die before the promised day arrives."
Grind, bleeding heavily, became furious.
"I'll tear out your eyes, you damned beast, for killing my friends and hurting me."
"Then why don't you get up and kill me?"
Grind became enraged, and souls began to emerge from everywhere. All his wounds disappeared. The souls, which were the beasts Grind had killed, attacked the forest king.
"They are my soldiers. I am your commander. Why are you attacking me, fools?"
"The beasts I killed are now under my control? They were my enemies! Then kill him!"
They killed the beast, and Grind now controlled the beast that used humans as puppets.
A crystal emerged, a pale glow type, and separated from the beast's soul, merging with Grind's original crystal inside his soul.
"You, beast, if I see you turning humans into zombies, you'll regret your actions."
"Your command will be obeyed, master."
They knocked him to the ground, and Grind stabbed him, turning him into a "soul."
Grind extracted the king's soul and made him a subordinate, naming him Gran.
The beast had the ability to turn anything into zombies, and Grind named him Necros.
Grind contacted the rapid response team and explained everything that had happened.
Then he went to sleep.
The next morning, the global strength competition began to crown the strongest team in the world.
