Chief Hanks stared at it over and over again, he then signalled to the detective to unravel it. Detective Kelly walked over and carefully started unwrapping the covering until the prop was open. He set it down carefully although most of it had already hardened.
"Tell me what you intend to achieve with this." He said to him,
"Well, I was going through the crime scene which the local sheriff had showed me and I happened upon these footprints." He said.
"Could have belonged to anyone." Chief Hanks said.
"I know but you said that we shouldn't take any chances. That's exactly what I'm trying to do. Avoid taking chances. I imagined that we could check the databases of Gideon and his daughter, Samantha to see if..." He started.
"Did you just say Gideon and Samantha?" The Police chief suddenly asked.
"Yes, Sir. They are the victims." Detective Kelly responded.
