When the elevator reaches the ground floor, the door opens and Jae-hoon steps out of the elevator. While walking through the lobby, he accidentally bumped into Han-yue.
"Oh. I'm so sorry! Wait…. Hana? What are you doing here?" Jae-hoon looks down at Han-yue.
Han-yue looks up at Jae-hoon and says, "Huh? Jae?! What are you doing here?" she asks.
They both looked at each other, wondering why both of them were here at the same time.
"Oh… Uh… The thing is… I think I became an Irregular Hunter… Um… Last night, I had a dream about meeting this kind of…. An unknown being that looks like a goddess…" Han-yue explains to Jae-hoon about the dream she had last night.
"A dream of meeting an unknown being that looks like a goddess? What does she look like? Does she wear a crescent moon pendant?" Jae-hoon asks about her dream.
"I… I don't think so… She said her name was Seraphyne, the Mother of Sanctuary…" she explains.
"Seraphyne? I've never heard of that name before…. What does she say to you?" Jae-hoon asks with confusion in his voice.
"She said she gave me her power to use until I fully awakened it…." She answers his question.
"I see… Not something that sadistic bitch would say," Jae-hoon says, understanding the situation before mumbling something about the goddess that gave him the system.
"Hm? Did you say something, Jae?" She asks.
"Nothing. Just mumbling to myself about someone I knew," he answers.
"I see. Well… Jae… Can you…" she says with a pleasing tone while playing with her finger.
"Hm? What can I help you with?" He asks.
"Can you accompany me to my assessment? I want to know if I'm an Irregular Hunter or not," she says, asking Jae-hoon to accompany her to her assessment.
"Oh? Sure. Why not," he says as he agrees to her request.
"Thanks, Jae," she says, thanking him for accompanying her.
"No problems. After all, you're my girlfriend," he says with a slight smile tugging on his lips.
Han-yue then grabs his hand before walking with him to the front desk. At the front desk, the receptionist looks up at them before saying, "Hi there! How can I help you today?" She asks.
"Hi! I'm here to get an assessment. How can I apply for one?" Han-yue asks the receptionist.
"Please wait for a while. I will now prepare the paper you need to fill to apply for an assessment," the receptionist says before turning and opening the drawers before finding the assessment application document. She takes one sheet and hands it to Han-yue.
"You need to fill in all the required information before proceeding with the assessment," the receptionist explains about the document.
"I understand," Han-yue says.
The receptionist then takes a pen from her utensils holder and hands it to Han-yue.
"Here you go. You can use this pen when writing all of the required information," she says, handing Han-yue the pen.
Han-yue takes the pen and nods with a smile on her face. She then starts to fill all of the required information on the document. After finishing, she lends the paper and the pen back to the receptionist.
"All done," she says.
The receptionist takes the pen and the document before saying, "I'll review all the information on my computer for a quick confirmation. Please wait," the receptionist says as she turns to her computer to review Han-yue's information.
"Okay!" Han-yue says.
She then turns to look at Jae-hoon before saying, "I'm so excited to get my rank checked! Aren't you excited too to see my rank, Jaw?!" She says with a spark of excitement in her eyes.
"I wouldn't be too happy this early. I mean… You haven't gotten your rank yet. I'm not saying your rank will be low, no. But I'm just saying don't get overexcited. Things could go the wrong way when it comes to assessment," Jae-hoon says, telling her that she shouldn't be too happy before getting her assessment results.
"I suppose you're right, Jae," she says with a hint of realization in her tone.
"I can sense her mana effectively up close… I'm sure of it…. She's an A-rank at the very least. That's a good starter rank… I didn't even manage to get D-rank back then…" he thinks, sensing Han-yue's mana before determining her possible rank.
After a while, the receptionist finished checking all of Han-yue's information and turned to look at her again before saying, "Alright. Based on the information, your name is Song Han-yue and you're 21. There's no record of you attending any martial arts class. Is that correct?" She asks.
"That's correct," Han-yue confirms the information.
"Alright. You're going to be taking the mana amount test only since you haven't had any experience fighting. Take this ticket and scan it on the scanner before you go in. You can now head to the assessment room. I believe Jae-hoon-ssi will lead you to the assessment room," she says before handing the ticket to Han-yue and she then looks at Jae-hoon, expecting him to lead Han-yue to the assessment room.
Han-yue takes the ticket and out it her inside of her pocket.
"I will do that. Thanks for reminding," Jae-hoon says, bowing his head in a polite way.
"Before that. Jae-hoon-ssi, the chairman forgot to give you this," she calls out for Jae-hoon before handing him a key card.
Jae-hoon takes the key card and looks at it before asking, "What is this key card for?"
"That key card leads to your new penthouse. You can head to Raemian Caelitus in Yongsan-gu. Your penthouse unit number is 13. Your new house will be there. Congratulations on being an S-rank, Jae-hoon-ssi," the receptionist says, explaining what the key card is for.
"I understand. Thanks for the information," Jae-hoon says bowing his head before leading Han-yue to the assessment room.
The receptionist bows as well.
While walking, Han-yue looks at Jae-hoon before asking, "Wait. You're an S-rank?! How?! Just a few days back you told me you were an E-rank! How could you lie to me?!" She says with a pouty face.
"I'm not lying to you. Don't you hear what the receptionist said? I just became an S-rank today. I was an E-rank but now I'm an S-rank," Jae-hoon explains the situation to Han-yue.
"Really? You just became an S-rank and you received a penthouse. Can I move in with you?! Please?" She says, slightly surprised at the revelation before requesting to move into the penthouse with him.
"Sure. Why not. I'm thinking of moving out of the dorm anyway since it's pretty cramped there," Jae-hoon says, letting her know he's down to let her move in with him.
"Your dorm is cramped? That's weird…. Mine isn't that cramped. It's average before I moved out to take care of my younger siblings," she says, surprised when he said his dorm is cramped.
"Well you stayed at an only girls dorm. I got into the mixed dorm. The room is not that cramped but still cramped for me. All the girls and the boys dormitories are special since they have bigger dorm rooms. It sucked being in the mixed dormitory," Jae-hoon says, telling her it sucks being in the mixed dormitory since the dorm room is pretty cramped.
After a bit more of walking, they finally arrive in front of the assessment room.
"I'll be waiting out here. You can go in first. There's it many people so, go ahead," he says, telling her he will stay outside and waits for her.
"Alright. You better stay here and not go anywhere," she says, ordering him to stay.
"I won't go anywhere. I swear," he says, reassuring her he won't go anywhere and he will just stay there.
Han-yue turns to the door and takes out the ticket the receptionist gave her before scanning it on the scanner on the door.
After scanning her ticket, the door opens and she steps inside. The door behind her closes and she's now in the assessment room. Inside, an instructor is waiting for her.
"Ah. You must be Song Han-yue. You're here to get an assessment, right?" The instructor says with a smile on her face before asking for confirmation on her assessment.
"Ah. Yes. That's right," Han-yue replies.
"Pardon me for not introducing myself first. My name is Seo Sae-in. I'll be your instructor for today's assessment. Now, you can go up to the mana assessment machine in the middle of the room and place your hand on it," Sae-in introduce herself to Han-yue before asking her to put her hand on the mana assessment machine in the middle of the room
Han-yue walks up to the machine and the machine starts to scan her mana.
"Please be good! Please be good! I don't want to be disappointed!" She thinks in her mind, anxious.
After a while, the scanning ended and the results were displayed on the instructor's tablet.
"It seems that you have quite the potential. Your mana is rather high for a starter. You're a lucky one," the instructor says with a smile on her face as she reads the results.
"Wait. Really? I have a high mana?" Han-yue asks the instructor. "Yes! I got a good results!" She thinks in her mind, happy at the results.
"That's right. I will now announce your rank. Congratulations on becoming an A-rank. If your mana is higher, you could've become an S-rank. But A-rank is also good especially for starters like yourself," the instructor replies, congratulating her once more.
"Now then, you may leave and we'll start making your Irregular Hunter license. You can wait in the lobby area before we call out for you to come pick up your Irregular Hunter license," she continues, telling Han-yue she could leave the room and wait for her license to be done.
"I understand. I'll wait outside," she replies. "Yay! I got a good results! I will now boast to Jae!" She thinks in her mind, planning to boast about her results to Jae-hoon
She then gets out of the room where she sees Jae-hoon waiting for her. When she got out, Jae-hoon stood up and walked up to her.
"How does it go?" he asks.
"Pretty good. I got A-rank," she replies, telling Jae-hoon her results. "Praise me, my boyfriend!" She thinks in her mind.
"That's great. You're a lucky one to be an A-rank. Not many people are able to achieve that as a starter like you," he says.
"Thank you, Jae," she says, thanking him for the compliment with a forced smile to hides herself hoping for more praise. "That's rather blunt. I want you to praise me more!" She thinks in her mind, disappointed.
"No problem," he says with a smile.
Han-yue suddenly grabs his hand and walks to the lobby area with him.
"Let's go, Jae! I'm excited to become an Irregular Hunter!" she says with a happy tone.
"Wait! Slow down, Hana!" Jae-hoon says, telling Han-yue to slow down. Despite that, a tug of his smile manages to appear at the corner of his mouth.
"I'm going to make sure to drain your money away after this! You better treat me to somewhere delicious!" She says, demanding Jae-hoon to buy her food.
"What?! I on't have cash on me right now!" He says, surprised at her demands before telling her he didn't have any cash on him.
