Huamu Ran's eyes widened as he stood up. His voice cracked slightly. "You… you are the one… the one who injured my son…?"
Han Yu shrugged. "He bumped into me. I asked for an apology. He refused."He tossed Elder Bai lightly in the air and caught him by the collar again."So the next day you sent dogs to break my limbs. I simply defended myself."
The hall erupted with enraged murmurs.
"Defended himself? Does he think we are fools?"
"He calls this self defense?"
"He must be mad—"
But none dared make a move. Because Han Yu's presence felt like a mountain leaning forward, daring anyone to take the first step toward being crushed.
Madam Shu pointed at him, trembling with fury and fear. "Seize him! Someone seize him! He killed our guards and even crippled Elder Bai!"
No one moved.
Not even one step.
Han Yu turned his head slowly toward her.
Just one look made Madam Shu stumble backward into Huamu Ran's arm.
Huamu Ran swallowed hard, trying to gather his composure.
