Since Pekoms and Mr. 3 decided to work together, they immediately got into action.
Mr. 3 created two life-sized Kaido wax figurines with maces on the ground, leaving them uncolored, which surprised everyone watching.
Pekoms said, a hint of amusement in his voice, "Mr. 3, aren't you afraid Kaido will find out and beat you to death?"
Mr. 3 remained unfazed. "Whether he comes or not, won't he just be beaten away by Luffy and Teacher Carl anyway?"
Pekoms had to admit that was a fair point. He looked at the two magnificent wax Kaido figures again, their imposing presence alone enough to scare enemies before the battle even began.
Meanwhile, Buffalo and Baby-5, hovering in the air, were clearly taken aback. They quickly realized they had been momentarily frightened by the wax figures and grew red-faced with anger.
"Weapon Transformation! Sword Girl!"
Baby-5's upper body transformed into a massive sharp blade, while Buffalo held her legs and began to spin rapidly. This created a whirlwind of blades that flew straight towards Mr. 3 and Pekoms.
Mr. 3 showed no fear. He immediately manipulated the two wax Kaido figures to step forward.
"Ha! Thunder Bagua!"
Mr. 3 shouted a powerful-sounding name for the attack. The maces of the two wax Kaido figures swung down, colliding with the spinning blade. Two loud bangs echoed through the port. Buffalo's blade shattered the wax maces, but the incredible hardness of the wax also caused Buffalo's sharp blade form to break apart.
This was the opening Mr. 3 was waiting for!
"Candle Lock!"
Mr. 3 released a large quantity of wax fluid from his hands, which shot towards Buffalo and Baby-5. Startled, Buffalo immediately flew higher into the air. At that moment, two circular saws suddenly flew from different directions and crashed together right in front of his eyes. The distinct clashing sound grabbed Buffalo's attention.
Buffalo didn't realize that this distraction would be fatal!
More and more circular saws flew into the air, clashing one after another, their rhythmic sounds filling Buffalo's ears. The spinning saws completely occupied his vision, making him lose his bearings.
Clap! Clap! Clap!
On the ground, Pekoms suddenly began to clap his hands with a rhythmic beat. His body started to sway and dance along to the rhythm.
In the air, Buffalo was stunned for a moment. He subconsciously let go of Baby-5, dropped to the ground, and began walking towards Pekoms as if in a trance.
Baby-5, still flying, was horrified. "Buffalo! Come back! He's using his Hypnosis spell on you!"
But Buffalo continued forward as if he couldn't hear her. Baby-5, startled and anxious, transformed her legs into pistols and prepared to shoot Pekoms.
"Where are you looking?"
Mr. 3's voice came from nearby. A torrent of wax liquid shot forward and covered Baby-5.
Screaming, Baby-5 transformed herself into a missile and exploded on the spot.
The violent explosion blasted away a large amount of the wax, but Mr. 3 continued to pour out more of the liquid wax. When Baby-5 reverted to her human form, her hands and feet were completely bound by Candle Locks, and her entire body was wrapped in wax, with only her eyes and nose left exposed.
Baby-5 was completely trapped! The wax was so hard that she couldn't break free, even by transforming into a weapon.
Meanwhile, Pekoms had quietly put away his circular saws. As Buffalo walked up to him, he snapped his fingers.
"One! Two! Three!"
As Pekom's voice fell, Buffalo's eyes rolled back in his head, and he collapsed to the ground.
Pekoms silently adjusted his black hat. His battles didn't feature flashy special effects or earth-shattering power, but they were still highly effective at defeating his enemies. He had triumphed without drawing a drop of blood.
Mr. 3 gave Pekoms a thumbs-up. "Hehe, you did it, Pekoms! You even managed to hypnotize an enemy cadre!"
Pekoms shook his head. "It's just the lowest form of hypnosis. A truly powerful hypnosis technique would make them obey my every command or even turn them into a different person entirely. It's not nearly enough to deal with a mere Shichibukai cadre. I would need a much stronger technique for that."
"Always so modest!" Mr. 3 thought to himself, speechless but not saying anything. As long as the Straw Hat Pirates won, everything would be fine, and there was no harm in letting their allies brag a little.
Diamante and Lao G, who were in the middle of their own fight, were shocked to see two of their cadres defeated so easily. They hadn't expected the Straw Hats' allies to be this strong!
"Hey! It's rude to get distracted in the middle of a fight!"
Zoro was annoyed at Diamante. Even though their battle was so intense, Diamante was still distracted. Didn't that mean Zoro wasn't pushing him hard enough? So, Zoro immediately ramped up his assault.
"Two-Sword Style: Eagle Waves!"
"Two-Sword Style: Two-Cut!"
"Three-Sword Style: Oni Giri!"
Zoro's flurry of attacks forced Diamante to stay on the defensive, unable to pay attention to anything else for the moment.
Diamante was incredibly frustrated. He felt that Zoro's swordsmanship was extraordinary and on par with his own. How could a seventeen-year-old kid stand a chance against a seasoned veteran like him? He refused to accept it!
"Half-Moon Funeral!"
Diamante angrily raised his longsword and swung it, unleashing a powerful shockwave that sliced the ground of the port in two.
Zoro didn't block the attack but chose to dodge. He glanced at the cleanly cut ground and showed a rare expression of admiration. "That's what a true swordsman does!" he thought. "He obviously has such a powerful technique, so why has he been holding back?"
"Snake Sword!"
Diamante shouted the name of his move, and his Western-style sword began to float and strike like a snake.
Zoro successfully dodged sideways. As he was about to continue his attack, a warning from his Observation Haki made him roll to the side. He was a split second too late, and the sword nicked his arm.
"So this so-called 'Snake Sword' can change direction," Zoro said, his face expressionless. He once again settled into his three-sword stance. He was slowly understanding Diamante's fighting style. The longsword could not only flutter like a piece of cloth but also stretch and be manipulated with incredible precision. This kind of acrobatic swordsmanship greatly displeased him, though.
It wasn't nearly as impressive as the Half-Moon Funeral!
"Snake Sword!"
Diamante continued to use the Snake Sword, likely seeing that it had successfully injured Zoro and assuming it was more effective. The sword floated around like a snake, constantly changing directions and striking.
Zoro grew increasingly annoyed. Although his Observation Haki allowed him to predict the sword's movements, the speed of the Snake Sword was so fast that he often didn't have time to dodge perfectly. Because of this, Zoro was hit by the sword several times, and the wounds on his body continued to mount.
"It seems Diamante's Observation Haki isn't weak at all," Zoro realized. He was starting to figure out that many times he wasn't failing to dodge because he was too slow, but because Diamante was already predicting where he was going to move!
