Mia couldn't breathe.
Her legs refused to move as the overwhelming presence pressed down on her like a crushing weight. The air trembled, vibrating with an inhuman power that made her ears ring and her vision blur.
The dragon.
She couldn't see it clearly—only its silhouette, vast and distorted, filling the far end of the chamber. Its mere existence warped the space around it. Every instinct in her body screamed the same thing.
Run. Hide. Survive.
But she couldn't.
"T-Someone…" Mia's voice broke as she stumbled backward, clutching her staff to her chest. Tears streamed down her face uncontrollably.
"Someone help me… please… I don't want to die…!"
Her words were swallowed by the oppressive air.
The chamber was too wide. Too broken. Too cruel.
