"Henry, I really want us to live together." I stared into his eyes, my voice soft, my tone low.
Henry nodded. As if he understood what I was saying.
"I'm not asking you to pack up right now, Alora." He said with a small grin.
His palms pressed my cheeks and he placed a small kiss on my lips.
I gave him the smallest smile I could manage.
Henry didn't let go of my hand the whole ride to his house.
He had said he didn't want me sleeping alone and was going to spend the night, but I decided it would be good practice if I slept at his house instead.
We didn't speak much during the ride. He just drove, his thumb brushing slow circles over my skin, anchoring me in a way I didn't realize I needed.
The silence between us wasn't heavy. It wasn't awkward either. It was rather… comforting. That was one thing I always liked about Henry.
He knew just how to calm the hurricane swirling in and around me.
When we pulled into the driveway, he turned off the ignition and stepped out.
