"Everything."
Ye Wen's voice suddenly turned cold.
But Kakashi remained unfazed, his gaze gradually firming.
This person possessed such power—perhaps he truly could accomplish what he had promised.
As for "everything" that belonged to him, it was nothing but garbage. If sacrificing everything could make the world a better place, Kakashi would willingly lay down his life.
At the same time, two figures surfaced in Kakashi's mind: a goggle-wearing boy with a radiant smile and a girl with two purple markings on her face, always exuding a gentle smile.
"Obito, Rin… if it's truly possible to undo the regrets of the past, I'm willing to pay any price."
Though their encounter had lasted less than ten minutes, Kakashi instinctively made his choice under the overwhelming pressure of Ye Wen's absolute strength.
"I am willing to offer everything I have. But how will you fulfill your promise?"
A self-satisfied smile lingered on Ye Wen's lips.
It seemed he still had a knack for verbal persuasion.
In truth, if Ye Wen wanted to conquer this world, he could do so effortlessly by simply getting serious. But that would be far too dull. Having come out here, Ye Wen preferred to act as a puppet master and an observer of this journey.
"The contract is sealed," Ye Wen murmured softly.
"As for how it will be done, don't move, Kakashi."
Ye Wen stepped forward once again and gently tapped Kakashi's mask with his right hand.
A holy golden light emerged from Ye Wen's fingertips and flowed into Kakashi's body.
Kakashi's eyes widened in disbelief.
Chakra—boundless, surging chakra.
The holy golden light descended from the top of Kakashi's head, traveling through his body until it reached his abdomen. Along its path, it illuminated three energy centers within Kakashi's body.
"Accept my gift, mortal.
From this day forward, you shall become the apostle of the Vast Sea God King in the ninja world. Spread my glory across the lands of humanity."
As Ye Wen's words faded, Kakashi also received a massive influx of information.
In an instant, a golden cloak enveloped Kakashi.
Vast Sea Chakra Mode.
This was a byproduct of Ye Wen's earlier research—an artificial empowerment that forcibly activated all of Kakashi's latent chakra attributes, elevating him to a level comparable to the Six Paths or even godhood.
At the same time, Kakashi became aware of Ye Wen's true identity.
In this world, though ninjas and nobles held positions of great respect, both still revered the gods deeply.
The once defiant Kakashi now knelt halfway down, bowing his proud head.
"Everything shall be as you wish, my lord."
The distant ANBU members exchanged puzzled glances, unsure of what had transpired in those few short minutes. Why had he suddenly knelt? And what was with their captain's newfound, overwhelming aura?
"Rise. And retract your chakra mode—there are no enemies here worthy of such power," Ye Wen said indifferently.
"Yes."
Kakashi respectfully bowed again before standing up.
At this moment, Kakashi underwent a complete transformation. His once empty, lifeless eyes now burned with determination, having found a new purpose in life.
Though Kakashi was skilled in many areas, he was ultimately just a leaky boat who hadn't even completed six years of ninja academy.
In short, while Kakashi was reliable for carrying out tasks, asking him to devise strategies would be pushing his limits.
"Lord Vast Sea God, please instruct me on how to change this world," Kakashi asked reverently.
As for what came next? Wasn't the path already clear?
Changing a world didn't rely solely on one person—it required a united group of like-minded companions working together.
As the largest armed organization in the ninja world, Konoha was undoubtedly an excellent target.
"Go, Kakashi.
Remove that decrepit old monkey Sarutobi Hiruzen from the position of Hokage.
With your reputation and achievements, if you truly desire that position, you are undoubtedly qualified. This is your first test—I hope you don't disappoint me," Ye Wen instructed calmly.
"Yes, my lord. I will not let you down."
Kakashi's resolve was unwavering, and deep within his eyes brewed a mixture of hatred and murderous intent.
Among the information Ye Wen had imparted was the truth behind the White Fang's death and the dark secrets surrounding Hiruzen Sarutobi.
Seeing his goal achieved, Ye Wen dissolved the barrier and vanished in a flash, leaving the ANBU members staring at each other in confusion.
After the strange events had settled, one ANBU member who usually conversed with Kakashi approached cautiously.
"Captain, who exactly was that enemy just now...?"
At this moment, Kakashi's presence radiated an icy aura far colder than before.
"Report to Lord Hokage first. The matters that follow are beyond our ability to interfere."
As the saying went, "One rank higher crushes all beneath." Especially for ninjas, whose duty was absolute obedience, the ANBU member immediately fell silent and followed Kakashi back to the village.
Listening to Kakashi's report about Ye Wen, Hiruzen Sarutobi sat heavily in his chair, puffing on his pipe and filling the Hokage's office with thick smoke.
"Is that so? Kakashi, you've worked hard."
Hiruzen habitually offered words of comfort to Kakashi.
But he failed to notice that Kakashi was no longer the same as before.
"This is my duty, Third Hokage.
Additionally, I formally submit my resignation to step down from the ANBU and return to being a regular ninja."
Still lost in thought about Ye Wen's mysterious strength, Hiruzen nodded absentmindedly—but quickly snapped back to reality, his face filled with astonishment.
"What?"
"I said I wish to leave the ANBU, Third Hokage," Kakashi replied woodenly once more.
The cunning Hiruzen instinctively sensed something amiss but couldn't pinpoint the issue.
"Kakashi, ah, this matter isn't so simple... but..."
Hiruzen began spouting familiar bureaucratic jargon, implying consent in words but intending to dissuade Kakashi from leaving the ANBU.
Beneath his mask, Kakashi's gaze turned icy.
Times had changed. At this moment, Kakashi was unusually resolute.
"Third Hokage, I have other matters to attend to. I will submit the formal documents tomorrow."
Without another word, Kakashi turned and left.
Since the facade would soon crumble anyway, Kakashi saw no reason to continue pretending with Hiruzen.
Did Hiruzen not understand the weight of being the son of the White Fang and the disciple of the Fourth Hokage?
Hiruzen watched Kakashi's retreating figure in bewilderment, unable to comprehend why such a drastic change had occurred after completing a dangerous mission.
