The sharing of divine positions was undoubtedly a groundbreaking technology.
With Ye Wen's implementation, the overall combat strength of Douluo Star experienced a massive leap forward.
Because of this development, the soul masters of Douluo Star were once again ignited with a fervor for cultivation, all aspiring to ascend to godhood as their lifelong goal.
To acquire more resources and advance toward even greater realms, Douluo Star accelerated its pace of plane conquests.
But none of this concerned Ye Wen anymore. It was time for him to focus on his own matters. After spending a full 6,000 years developing this cross-dimensional divine position-sharing technology, Ye Wen was truly exhausted.
By now, Ye Wen's strength had reached the pinnacle of the God King realm. Moreover, due to the unique nature of his Vast Sea God position, he could confidently say—without arrogance—that even if the five God Kings of the old god realm were to gang up on him, he could still defeat them.
During these long 6,000 years, Ye Wen finally welcomed the arrival of his grandchildren.
Among his many children, only Ye Tianchen had produced offspring. The others remained staunchly devoted to their cultivation, firmly prioritizing strength over other desires—though they certainly had ways to satisfy their needs when necessary.
Ye Wen named his eldest grandson Ye Dikui and his second grandson Ye Dixing, following the generational naming conventions he had established in the past.
Though these two young ones came from a powerful family background, Ye Wen had raised them well. Their demeanor was gentle and refined, much like Ye Wen himself.
Moreover, the two boys possessed exceptional talent, achieving godhood through pure cultivation before the age of 100. Currently, the eldest grandson served as the Speaker of the Holy Spirit Empire, while the younger one preferred to venture outward, conquering planes and aiming to recreate Ye Wen's glory.
To be honest, Ye Wen's human desires had grown quite faint by now. All the desires he had sought to fulfill had already been satisfied, leaving him without regrets in this life.
Now, Ye Wen simply wished for peaceful days, spending an eternity with his loved ones.
At this point, Ye Wen truly understood that immortality wasn't necessarily a wonderful thing. For beings like humans, it might even resemble a curse. Fortunately, his entire family had ascended to godhood, sparing them the pain of separation and loss.
Thus, Ye Wen now fully understood why the gods of the old god realm had become so apathetic—they had lived too long, and life had lost its excitement.
After spending several years lounging lazily on the beach, soaking up the sun, Ye Wen finally adjusted his mindset, shook his head, and regained his usual vigor.
"Am I so tired of life that I'd go seek death? Don't joke around! If I can't find enjoyment in this world, then I'll just go conquer more worlds."
Ye Wen had undergone a transformation, evolving from a serious god into a carefree deity who sought amusement above all else.
During this time, Douluo Planet had successfully reclaimed all the planes of the old god realm, becoming the new master of this region of the cosmos.
Gazing at the breathtaking view before him, Ye Wen stroked his chin thoughtfully. For many years, something had weighed on his mind, but he had been too busy to delve deeper into it.
"It's been so many years… World consciousness, or Plane Lord, why haven't you appeared yet?" Ye Wen muttered to himself.
Though Ye Wen was now undeniably the supreme ruler of this world, the fact that his domain wasn't entirely under his control left him feeling uneasy.
In the following period, Ye Wen began meticulously investigating every inch of Douluo Star, attempting to uncover the world consciousness that seemed to be hiding like a shy little girl.
But after searching for a full century, Ye Wen still found nothing.
"Argh!!! I'm done searching!!!"
Ye Wen was furious at having wasted 100 years on a fruitless endeavor.
If the world consciousness was hiding so deliberately, Ye Wen suspected it might harbor ill intentions toward him. With his sense of crisis, he knew that indecision would only lead to disaster.
"Decided! Let's usher in the era of Douluo's divine realm!"
The expedition ships served not only as war platforms for external battles but also as containers for faith energy, periodically transmitting a portion of the faith energy harvested from conquered planes back to the super divine artifact—the Plane Gate on Douluo Star.
Though this practice would slowly drain the conquered planes of vitality—much like the parasitic behavior of the old god realm—it was simply how the rules of the world worked. The strong preyed on the weak; that was the natural order. Ye Wen didn't intend to defy the heavens.
Besides, compared to the neglectful gods of the old god realm, Ye Wen had established order in these conquered planes, sparing them from their former suffering. In that sense, he had been merciful.
However, this method of faith transmission inevitably had its drawbacks, creating loopholes in many rules.
Although Ye Wen had already deciphered all the technologies of the old god realm, constructing a divine realm wasn't something that could be achieved overnight. Moreover, in Ye Wen's mind, divine position sharing was far more important than building a mere faith energy collection center, so the project had been temporarily shelved.
Given that the plane consciousness might have malicious intent, it was time to construct a divine realm for the soul masters themselves.
Without delay, Ye Wen quickly issued a series of commands through his eldest grandson, Ye Dikui.
Massive amounts of resources began flowing toward Douluo Planet.
Though many gods noticed this unusual movement of resources, upon learning that it was Ye Wen's directive, they all willingly joined in transporting the materials.
After all, Ye Wen had long since become the living patriarch of Douluo Planet. When he gave an order, everyone scrambled to comply promptly, hoping he might remember their loyalty in the future.
By now, Douluo Planet's industrial capabilities far surpassed those of the past. Even plans requiring far more metal resources than the construction of the Plane Gate were fully prepared for Ye Wen in less than half a year.
However, Ye Wen soon pondered a new question: Should the divine realm follow the egg-like shape of the old god realm, or should he create a new design?
Since the Dragon God was oviparous, it made sense for the old divine realm to resemble an egg. But Ye Wen disliked that style.
He preferred something grand, elegant, and sophisticated!
After some internal deliberation, Ye Wen decided to model the prototype of the divine realm after the 33 Heavens from the Daoist mythology of his previous life.
Of course, Ye Wen didn't plan to create all 33 layers at once.
This new divine realm was intended primarily for his family's residence, with the remainder reserved for first-tier or second-tier gods. Third-tier gods wouldn't even qualify to enter—they could continue working outside on expeditions.
Want to slack off? First, max out your resource-dependent third-tier godhood.
Thus, Ye Wen ultimately settled on a prototype with 12 Heavens.
As for why it was called a prototype, Ye Wen knew that nothing was perfect from the start. There would surely be modifications later, so he left himself room for adjustments.
