Doctor Li sat in front of a folding table, with a thick stack of quality paper spread out before him.
He's sitting in an office approximately thirty square meters, surrounded by other doctors from the Jingwei Center working on the project, with a row of metal file cabinets against the wall and several unopened boxes of printer paper piled on top.
He picked up a scale sheet, turned two pages, then set it down again.
His hand reached for the thermos cup at the corner of the table, unscrewed the lid and took a sip, then quickly screwed it back on.
At this moment, the thought that kept turning over in his mind was — Pei Yuning has been referred out.
"Whew—" Doctor Li let out a long breath.
Claiming that the idea to refer Pei Yuning was a spur-of-the-moment decision is clearly deceptive; he's been contemplating this matter for days.
From the moment he decided to take on the school project, it was destined that Doctor Li would refer Pei Yuning out.
