Beside the bonfire, young girls formed a circle, dancing around the flames and singing heartily. They wore fresh garlands on their heads, with money grass woven into their braids. Sparks fell with their dance steps, forming floating spots of light in the hot air rising with the flames.
The men sat around the bonfire, enjoying the girls' dances, occasionally whistling, drinking sweet wine, and eating the delicious meals roasted over the fire.

These beasts that launched attacks on the city were now turned into delicious delicacies.
