Once upon a time, there were four high school students: Jayden Haruki, Elijah Tao, Yuna Watanabe, and Seraphine Scorch. They were transported to a fantastical world during a camping trip.
Under a sky filled with twinkling stars, the friends sat around a crackling bonfire, snacking on s'mores and sharing memories of the past year. Jayden recounted his championship win with his basketball team, Elijah talked about his dream of pursuing a boxing career, Seraphine shared her cooking experiences of becoming a chef, and Yuna described her efforts to grow her small business into a full-fledged enterprise.
As the conversation shifted to their future plans, Jayden nervously worked up the courage to ask Yuna to be more than friends. Quietly, he signaled Elijah to come with him for moral support, leaving the girls by the fire to chat.
But as they walked away, a sudden crack of thunder echoed across the clearing, followed by a bright flash near the bonfire. Alarmed, Jayden and Elijah spun around and rushed back to find the girls gone.
"YUNA!" Jayden shouted.
"SERAPHINE!" Elijah shouted.
"They couldn't have just fucking disappeared," Elijah said, his voice tense.
Splitting up, the two searched the area frantically. As lightning struck again, both boys vanished into thin air, leaving the campsite eerily silent. A bear lumbered out of the nearby woods, drawn by the smell of marshmallows. Staring at the abandoned s'mores, the bear scoffed, "Humans... These s'mores are mine now. Fucking Idiots."
Jayden's Journey
Jayden found himself soaring through a kaleidoscope of shimmering warp tunnels, colors swirling around him like a living aurora.
"What the fuck is this?!" he exclaimed, wide-eyed in disorientation.
He reached out toward the edges of the tunnel, mesmerized, but stopped short when a familiar voice called out.
"YO JAYDEN?!"
Turning, Jayden saw Elijah hurtling toward him in a parallel tunnel.
"YO, ELIJAH!" Jayden yelled, relief washing over him.
Elijah Looked and started shouting, "JAYDEN?! GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE!"
Before Jayden could respond, a panicked scream cut through the chaos.
"ELIJAH, JAYDEN, HELP US!"
It was Seraphine and Yuna, their voices laced with fear. Jayden and Elijah turned toward the sound and spotted the girls spiraling through a nearby tunnel, hurtling in the same direction.
"GRAB MY HAND!" Jayden shouted, reaching toward Elijah.
"THAT SOUNDS GAY. HELL NO! Fucking donkey" Elijah shouted back, despite the situation
Instead, they executed a flawless no-look dap-up mid-air, their bond unshaken even in the chaos.
Reunion and Separation
Together, the boys maneuvered through the glowing vortex to reach the girls. Grasping their hands, they pulled Seraphine and Yuna close. The girls' faces were pale, their fear evident, but Jayden and Elijah exuded a calm determination to comfort them.
"Don't worry," Jayden said, trying to steady his voice. "We're going to be okay. As long as we stick together, nothing will—"
His reassurance was cut short as the tunnel split into four separate paths. Their grip on each other faltered, and they were pulled apart.
"NO!" Yuna cried, reaching for Jayden.
"STAY TOGETHER!" Seraphine screamed, her voice fading.
Each of them hurtled toward a different realm, their voices calling out desperately for one another:
"JAYDEN!"
"ELIJAH!"
"SERAPHINE!"
"YUNA!"
A blinding light engulfed them all, cutting off their cries. Silence and then—blackness.
*Time skip 3 weeks*
The Four worlds of Eclipsia were all minding their own business, dwarfs and beastman were farming, fairies, and elves were practicing spells, humans were perfecting their swordwork, as phantoms read their ancient scriptures.
Suddenly 4 separate beams of light came crashing down onto the world as a mysterious man flying on a cloud of lightning laughed at their downfall and said "seems like this shitty party finally started", all 4 hurled down from the heavens to their disdain locations.
