Michael Linton was correct in his judgment; coming downstairs was indeed Serena Zimmerman. She hurried down, suspecting something urgent had occurred, and immediately threw off the covers and got out of bed.
She changed clothes as quickly as possible, anxious, and hurried downstairs to see what was going on. She noticed that the lights were on in the living room and walked right in without thinking much.
Entering the living room, she saw Callix Linton was also there. Serena immediately sensed the gravity of the situation, her footsteps instinctively quickening.
"What are you coming down for?" Michael Linton casually asked upon seeing Serena approach.
Serena just glanced at her husband who was speaking to her and didn't respond. She walked over and sat down not far from Michael.
"I'll be leaving now."
