Theodore's words felt like stabbing Fabian in the heart. Both were his own sons, and he couldn't let go of either. He didn't want anything to happen to them.
If anything happened to either, his heart would be filled with sadness and anguish, unbearable pain.
"Both of you are my sons, I want both of you, I can't choose between you two." Fabian firmly expressed his true feelings, so Theodore would know over the phone that he wouldn't make such a choice, as it was too painful and absurd.
Theodore was completely unmoved by Fabian's words, stubbornly insisting that Fabian make a choice, "You must choose, you can only pick one between him and me."
This time, his tone was even more forceful, directly using the word "must," pressuring Fabian over the phone to make a choice.
"Theodore! You..."
"Alright! I know your choice."
Before Fabian could say anything, Theodore had already hung up the phone, and when he dialed back again, the phone was already turned off.
