After Lily Turner entered the house, Easton Holmes finally turned the car around and left. What he didn't know was that just after he drove off, she came back out again, staring long at the direction he left before turning back into the house.
"Why are you back alone? Where's Easton?" Seeing Lily return by herself, Christopher Turner, who was waiting in the living room to see Easton, was somewhat disappointed. He straightened up from where he was leaning on the sofa and looked over her shoulder, not seeing anyone else behind her.
Lily pointed in the direction of the door and walked towards the sofa while explaining, "Easton was supposed to come in, but his grandfather suddenly called him back. He had to rush back and asked me to apologize to you and Mom on his behalf."
She explained it in detail to make things clear.
"Will he come over later?"
Christopher had not given up hope. He was staying up and hadn't gone back to rest, just to wait for Easton to come back.
