"So, you were badmouthing me like that, did you consider I might be eavesdropping?"
As a mournful voice sounded, the previously closed private room door was pushed open.
Chloe Grant was startled and almost fell off her chair, but Matthew Morgan reacted quickly, catching her, preventing a fall.
Chloe quickly sat up straight, watching as Ralph Koch swaggered in.
"You're allowed to badmouth me like that, and I'm not allowed to eavesdrop?"
Ralph came over, sat down across from Chloe, and immediately picked up chopsticks to knock on Chloe's head, "You ungrateful little thing, after all this time I took care of you. Feeding you, buying you drinks... and this is how you talk about me!"
Chloe hurriedly covered her head, shrinking towards Matthew, "The money you used to treat me was from my Uncle Morgan! If I'd known, I wouldn't have let you treat me, wasting my uncle's money."
