The cigarette Yeats Howard was casually holding in his mouth fell onto the chair with a "pop," almost burning his clothes. After a stunned three-second pause, he jumped up, picked up the cigarette, and exclaimed, "Holy crap, is there some backstory here? Wasn't Caspian Yarn's ex-fiancée said to have eloped with someone?"
Yeats Howard looked as if he had been struck by lightning, gazing at Marcus Quinn in admiration: "So, you were the one who whisked away that guy's fiancée? Marcus, you really are something!"
Marcus Quinn: "..."
The man didn't explain and simply said, "Just take us there the day after tomorrow. Finished eating? Then let's go shopping."
"Marcus Quinn, are you the devil?" Yeats Howard reluctantly got up and complained, "Don't you take afternoon naps?"
Marcus Quinn coolly replied, "Better go shop now and return before Ada wakes up."
Yeats Howard was at a loss for words.
