On the day before school started, Nova Howard invited Crystal Landon to go shopping for school supplies.
Crystal, having been cooped up at home for two days, was eager for a chance to rescue Nova's clueless sense of style.
"Crystal, what do you want to buy? I'll go with you. I want to buy dresses, bags, planners, and I also want to learn makeup," Nova babbled away like a little sparrow. Ever since Crystal had beaten up the Winton sisters twice, Nova idolized her completely.
After being awestruck by Crystal's wardrobe last time, Nova decided she wanted one exactly the same, filled with beautiful dresses, high heels, and bags; having lived for eighteen years, this was probably the first time she realized she was a girl.
Crystal looked at her cute, charming little face and couldn't help but pinch the bit of baby fat on her cheeks, half-closing her alluring almond eyes, she said lazily, "In love?"
