Ivy Miller sat in a stranger's car, her eyes red.
"Young lady, where are you headed?"
"Mister, can you find a nearby five-star hotel and drop me off there?"
"Alright," the driver started the car and drove away.
"Young lady, how come you're alone during the New Year?"
Speaking of being alone, Ivy Miller suddenly felt a wave of grievance.
She wasn't supposed to be alone; it was because she had a fight with that jerk Henry Sullivan that she left on her own.
"I encountered something unpleasant."
"Life is just a lifetime, no matter how unhappy you are, you must lift your spirits.
Moreover, today is New Year's, you're out here pregnant by yourself, your family must be worried."
Ivy Miller bit her lip; family, besides her parents, who else did she have?
Henry Sullivan didn't really treat her as his family at all.
The more she thought about it, the more uncomfortable she felt.
