"My mind is a bit muddled, I really don't understand what you're talking about."
Forrest reached out and placed a hand on her shoulder, "Your brain's turned to mush, huh."
"Yeah, if you poured out whatever's in my head right now, it'd be like porridge."
"Ugh, you're disgusting, how am I supposed to drink porridge after this?
Charles Townsend, your mom is truly gross."
Faye Townsend rarely pressed her lips together like that; she knew Forrest was desperately trying to help her relax, and she appreciated his efforts.
The light above the operating room went out, and Faye immediately stood up and ran over.
The moment the door opened, Dr. Barrett removed his mask and walked out.
"Dr. Barrett, how did it go?"
Barrett smiled, "Congratulations, Miss Townsend, the surgery was very successful. At the normal recovery pace, Miya shouldn't need a fourth surgery."
Faye's legs went weak, and she fell directly to the ground.
She covered her mouth with her hand and began to sob.
