Mabel suddenly raised her hand and forcefully pushed Kyle away. With a flushed face, she covered the back of her hand and glared at him.
"You... you shouldn't do this!" she exclaimed.
"Is it not allowed?" he retorted, "Afraid someone might see us?"
"Didn't you leave? Why did you come back?" she diverted the awkward topic.
He fell silent instead, and after a long pause, he said, "I wanted to see you." So after driving away, he turned back, yet the closer he got to her apartment complex, an inexplicable fear crept over him.
Daniel said something right, he was indeed afraid, he actually wasn't confident at all, fearing that she once loved him but might not love him anymore.
And at this moment, only she could soothe this fear of his.
"Mabel, don't make me wait too long, okay?" Under the moonlight, he held her and softly pleaded.
And she, in her confusion, could only feel her heartbeat growing stronger and stronger…
