The car stopped at a shopping mall in the city center of J City, and Mabel Quinn looked at Kyle Kinston in confusion. Kyle said, "Your phone was destroyed in the explosion, so you need to buy a new one. Also, we'll have to go to the service center to get a new SIM card."
It was then that Mabel suddenly remembered this, and also realized that she hadn't been to the studio all day and still hadn't called in for leave.
So Mabel said, "Can I borrow your phone? I want to call the studio to ask for leave."
"Sure," Kyle handed his phone to Mabel and said, "Actually, Alice Conley should have already told your studio's manager about your situation."
Sure enough, when the call connected, Mabel mentioned the leave request, and Alice said she had already taken care of it. The manager, Brother Kuang, was planning to organize everyone to visit Mabel, but Alice stopped them, saying Mabel needed some quiet time to recuperate, which prevented a group visit.
