This New Year is not as lively as last year. Last year, Joseph Lancaster prepared a lot of fireworks for Violet Zimmerman.
This year, now that Robert is here, Violet Zimmerman is not in the mood to watch fireworks.
The people from the second house are very pragmatic; those who reek of money don't understand romance.
Without the embellishment of fireworks, the entire courtyard is quite desolate. Joseph Lancaster is alone, leaning against the old willow tree, gazing towards Violet Zimmerman's room with his almond-shaped eyes.
It's been nearly half an hour since Daxton and his wife went back, and the lights are still on...
In the darkness, Joseph's gaze is misty. His hands are tucked into the pockets of his cotton coat, staring at the window.
Suddenly, a scream pierced through the night sky, and a silhouette dashed out of the villa, cradling something while shouting.
"Driver, driver..."
Joseph stirred, quickly running over, "Big brother, what's happening?"
