Looking at his watch, it was almost midnight. Nicholas Croft leaned over to gently nudge Sophie Foster, who was fast asleep, "Wake up, it's time to get off work."
Nicholas Croft's voice wasn't loud, but Sophie Foster jerked awake from the couch, somewhat nervously talking to herself, "Is it my turn on stage? Okay, right away!"
Nicholas Croft couldn't help but chuckle, especially seeing Sophie Foster's smoky makeup that had turned into Panda Eyes. He lightly pinched her cheek and said helplessly, "Work's already done."
"Oh, I overslept," Sophie Foster rubbed the spot where Nicholas Croft had pinched. Just waking up, her speech and actions seemed a bit silly, but still very cute, or so Nicholas thought.
He grabbed the coat draped around Sophie Foster's waist, reached into the pocket, pulled out his wallet, and handed over a wad of cash, "This is to compensate for your lost time."
