With weary eyes and a sense of fatigue, Felix Shaw didn't return to the bedroom to rest. Instead, he lay on the sofa, watching Mia Foster bustling about in the kitchen, occasionally opening his eyes groggily, afraid to fall into a deep sleep.
"Get up, it's time to eat!" Mia shouted angrily from the kitchen after placing the last of the soup on the dining table. Though angry, dinner was prepared with nourishing ingredients.
Scallop and sea cucumber soup, braised eel, beef with potatoes... Watching the table full of delicious dishes, Felix dared not pick up his chopsticks. After what happened, how could she be in the mood to cook so much good food for him?
Licking his lips and looking at Mia burying her head in her meal, Felix tentatively asked, "Honey... is this a breakup dinner?"
Mia initially wanted to say yes but seeing Felix's cautious demeanor, she gave him a cold glance and said, "Today, you did charity and went to plow someone else's field, you worked hard!"
