Mia Foster was momentarily stunned, then lowered her eyes again, smiled, and said, "Stop deceiving yourself, will you? If you hadn't done anything, why would she say the child is yours?"
"I will prove it to you!" Felix Shaw stood up, with a defiant tone, and walked briskly towards the door, "Remember to lock the doors and windows tonight!" With that, he walked out without looking back, and soon the sound of footsteps going down the stairs echoed in the hallway, followed by the loud thud of the mansion's front door being slammed shut.
Mia let out a sigh, picked up her fork again, and silently shoveled noodles into her mouth with her eyes downcast, silently praying that Felix wouldn't disturb her again, because every time he appeared in front of her, her slowly calming heart would ripple again.
Felix left in a huff, only realizing afterward that he had parked his car at the back. Swearing in frustration, he walked along the buildings on the street.
