Felix Shaw couldn't understand why Mia Foster was angry, no matter how much he pondered over it.
His mother was still in the living room watching TV. Older people usually sleep less, and sitting on the floor for too long made Felix feel tired, so he lay down hoping to rest for a bit. Without realizing it, he fell asleep, and when Mia woke up in the morning, he was still asleep on the floor.
In the summer, the weather was muggy, and the air conditioner was on in the bedroom. Mia had a thin blanket, and didn't feel cold, but the man sleeping on the floor was freezing.
Felix, in his short-sleeved home clothes, hugged his shoulders tightly against the wall, curled up like a prawn. Perhaps because he was too cold, he tucked himself behind the floor-length curtains to block part of his body.
