A meal concluded amidst Titus Zane's entanglement.
Alder Locke was always poised and natural, not showing any embarrassment from Abigail Zimmerman catching their intimate interaction.
After dinner, Titus Zane returned to her room. Alder Locke knew well how to curry favor with the old man, and actively offered to accompany him in a game of chess.
After helping to clean up the kitchen, Abigail Zimmerman also ascended the stairs, came to the door of Titus Zane's room, lightly knocked, and then pushed the door open to enter.
Seeing Titus Zane hugging her knees and curled up on the bed, Abigail Zimmerman walked over, sat next to her, and asked with concern.
"Titus, what's wrong, is there something troubling you?"
Titus Zane lifted her head, her expression despondent, "Aunt Abigail, Alder Locke and I are not what you think we are."
