Seeing Jon by himself with empty hands, not even a suitcase in sight, Titus Zane couldn't help but ask curiously, "Mr. Jon, where is your luggage?"
Jon helplessly spread his hands.
"I didn't bring any; I only brought myself."
To Titus Zane, Jon's almost unserious conduct was rather objectionable. Since he had come to T to take care of business, he should at least look the part.
The very least one should expect is a serious demeanor and speech, not this casual and seemingly flippant attitude.
Once in the taxi they hired, Titus Zane asked again.
"Which hotel are you staying at?"
"It was all so rushed, I didn't make a reservation. Tonight, I'll have to just make do with you."

She glanced at the taxi driver up front, her serious expression revealing a touch of displeasure.
"Mr. Jon, I hope you remember the purpose of your visit!"
