Paulos was a local priest with a small church in a remote area within the city and he lived there with many orphans he was raising like his own children. The kids even had a little playground and a vegetable garden. When Sam arrived, the children aged five and above ran towards him and hugged his legs.
"Sam is back, Sam is back, Sam is back." the kids chanted and Sam played with them a little bit before leaving them to play by themselves and entered the church. The long wooden church pews were clean and shiny. Furthest from the main church entrance was a candle stand that held multiple white candles at once which were all lit.
There was a wooden cross on the wall and an old man was kneeling in front of the candles and praying earnestly. The old man was cocooned by a gentle glow which made him look holy and pure. Sam didn't interrupt the old man as he prayed and just sat down randomly.
