Sienna's POV
I stood in the middle of the stone circle, where the Third Trial had nearly killed me four weeks ago. Back then, I had been fighting for my life. Now I was building something new.
"A little more to the left," I called to the werewolves setting up the huge oak table. "We want the sunrise to hit it just right."
The ruins of the ancient arena had been changed. Where there had once been blood and fear, now stood wooden houses and tents. Wolves, vampires, witches, and other things I didn't have names for worked side by side.
Welcome to the Ruby Council—my crazy idea that might just change everything.
"Impressive," said a smooth voice behind me. "From death trap to headquarters in less than a month."
I turned to see Orion, the First Wolf, his old eyes taking in the busy scene. "Thank you for coming," I said. "I wasn't sure you would."
"When the last Ruby Wolf calls, only a fool would ignore it," he answered. "Though many still think you're too young to lead."
