When Orpheus returned to the inn, he didn't take well to hearing that Lady Karina had remained awake waiting for him while he had run off because he couldn't control his emotions, something he should never have had in the first place.
And when he was told that the lady retired to their shared room since she seemed a little under the weather, Orpheus didn't waste time in making his way up to the room to meet her.
He was foolish to have abandoned her when she probably needed him, especially after what they'd done.
But imagine his surprise when he opened the door to the room only to find that the lady was gone, nowhere to be found in sight. Her belongings remained, so that did not mean she could have escaped.
If she intended to escape, she couldn't have done it with only the clothes on her back, and she certainly wouldn't make her way back to Moonveil to pack a travel sack, now would she?
