"But, why not?" I hope I am not whining as I follow my father around like a lost puppy—this is seriously shameful. But, apparently, I have swallowed all my pride while coaxing my family to give us their approval.
I have convinced pretty much everyone. Aside from my father, who is hell-bent on not letting Kian and me be together. He even forbade Kian from coming into the royal capital. So we have been sneaking out for the past few months.
Roy whirls around to face me as he pins me with the hardest look he can manage, "Have you ever heard of two men marrying each other, Liam?"
A frown tugs into the corner of my mouth, "No. But they will now. I love him, Father."
Roy sighs exasperatedly as he rubs his temple, "Do you even know what you are talking about? You are both men! What will the subjects say? And the nobles? Why don't you understand that it will be such a humiliation?"
