After accepting the task, they found Keqing.
"Traveler, are you also helping that Supreme Bishop deliver gifts?"
"It's Ye who wants to send gifts, yet he actually ordered you to do it, Keqing? Don't you know how to refuse?"
Hearing Paimon's words, Keqing couldn't help but smile wryly. "Although, as the Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing, I certainly have no obligation to deliver letters for high-ranking officials of other nations, compared to leaving such a task to others, I'd feel more at ease handling it myself."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
Paimon shook her head in confusion.
Keqing explained, "The Supreme Bishop of Fontaine wouldn't do anything meaningless. Though his intentions aren't clear yet, personally delivering these gifts, watching the adepti open them, and understanding what these gifts actually are—there must be some purpose behind it."
Blinking, she seemed to vaguely grasp Ye's intentions, but she didn't voice her thoughts. Instead, she simply nodded lightly and said, "Indeed. Who knows, maybe he planted a bomb inside."
"And then when the adepti hold a meeting—boom—blow them all up?" Paimon covered her mouth with her tiny hands, looking terrified as she continued, "That does sound like something Ye would do. Should we just not deliver these?"
"No matter what, it couldn't possibly be like that."
Keqing couldn't help but chuckle softly, reassuring Paimon:
"It's not that the Supreme Bishop of Fontaine wouldn't dare to do such a thing, but rather, he has no reason to do it right now. What benefit would Fontaine gain from starting a war with Liyue?"
"That's true." Paimon patted her chest and nodded in agreement. "The Supreme Bishop of Fontaine has always acted with Fontaine's interests at heart. If something only brings harm and no benefit to Fontaine, he definitely wouldn't do it."
And so, the trio—well, the duo—set off on the journey to visit the various adepti.
"What do you think the Supreme Bishop sent as gifts?"
Elysia, while going through the storyline, curiously asked, then immediately waved her hands:
"Don't spoil it for me if you've already played this part. Never mind, I'll just see for myself."
The first adeptus they sought out was naturally Granny Ping, who was closest—right in Liyue Harbor.
"A gift for me… from Fontaine's Supreme Bishop?"
At Yujing Terrace, Granny Ping looked surprised at the gift box Keqing placed on the table, then smiled.
"My, my, what a surprise. Though the Supreme Bishop and the Geo Archon are close friends, he's never had much interaction with us adepti. I only met him once about 300 years ago. Why would he suddenly want to send me a gift?"
"We don't know either, Granny Ping. Open it and see what it is!"
Paimon urged eagerly, brimming with curiosity.
"Alright, alright, I'll open it then."
Granny Ping chuckled warmly and gently opened the box. She wasn't the least bit worried about it being a bomb or something similar. After all, compared to ordinary humans who've only lived a few decades, she understood the Supreme Bishop far better.
If the Supreme Bishop of Fontaine truly wanted to do something, no one could stop him—not even the Geo Archon.
So there was no point in worrying. Worrying about whether the Supreme Bishop intended to do something was the most meaningless thing in the world.
"Do you know why I took the initiative to concede defeat, to befriend him, to become his ally?"
The Geo Archon had once posed this rhetorical question to the illuminated adepti of Liyue.
"Because after being led by the nose for twenty years, I finally realized one thing—whether making him an enemy or viewing him as one, both are the most foolish acts in this world."
Worrying was meaningless because even the Geo Archon would admit defeat, bow in reverence, and acknowledge him as a monster surpassing human intellect and divine power.
Once one understood the ironclad truth that no one could stop such a monster from doing whatever he wished, there was naturally no point in pointless anxiety.
And so, Granny Ping opened the gift box with complete calm.
"This is… a Yu-Gi-Oh! card?"
Though Granny Ping was elderly, she was still aware of this trendy game, as duelists with Duel Disks could often be seen battling on Yujing Terrace.
She wasn't particularly amazed by the Duel Disks that could project holograms—creating similar mechanisms wasn't difficult—but she was somewhat intrigued by the game itself.
However, since it didn't quite fit her current image as an old lady, she had never played it.
But she did know the Geo Archon played this game.
"What does giving me this mean?"
Granny Ping picked up the card and examined it.
A player's eyes lit up with speculation: "Could this be an ultra-rare card? One worth millions of Mora?"
Lumine crossed her arms and gave Paimon a deadpan look. "Are you seriously hoping Ye would send you a card worth millions?"
Paimon wiped her drool. "Well, Yu-Gi-Oh! was developed by Ye! Even though we opened hundreds of packs and never got anything valuable, if it's Ye, he could easily pull out some super rare card, right?"
Lumine shook her head. "Let's not get our hopes up too much."
Back when Paimon heard that a Ningguang-themed card had sold for a million Mora, she pestered Lumine into buying hundreds of packs. The end result? Lumine lost all her Mora.
She did manage to build a decent deck, and after dueling various hardcore players, she won quite a few matches. But alas, recouping her losses by selling cards was impossible.
"Granny Ping, is there something special about this card?"
Keqing noticed Granny Ping's slightly odd reaction.
Granny Ping stared at the card, her eyes widening slightly.
"Oh, it's nothing. Just a bit surprising, that's all."
She chuckled and handed the card to Keqing.
Paimon and Lumine immediately crowded around Keqing to take a look.
The illustration on the card depicted an extraordinarily beautiful woman, radiating an ethereal grace.
Her delicate hands strummed a zither, her beauty peerless.
"So pretty!"
Paimon gasped in awe.
"Just like a celestial maiden from legends!"
While Paimon marveled at the woman's beauty, Lumine and Keqing focused on the name of this never-before-seen card.
"Streetward Rambler… Sounds familiar. Isn't this an adeptus's title?"
Keqing read it aloud but hadn't yet connected the dots.
Lumine, however, was already staring at Granny Ping in shock.
No way… You've got to be kidding me!!
