Chapter 3 - CHAPTER THREE

The head servant rushed to the prophetess's chambers, finding her deep in concentration, reciting incantations as she worked on a case. The servant bowed slightly and announced, "The king requests your presence."

The prophetess nodded, swiftly wrapping up her task, and followed the servant out.

Upon arriving at the palace, she was escorted to the throne room. The king and queen sat upon their thrones, and with a wave of their hands, the guards and servants were dismissed.

With the room empty, the king glanced at the queen, nodding for her to share Elena's dream with the prophetess.

The queen leaned forward, her expression concerned. "The princess had a disturbing dream. We're worried it might be affecting her, especially since she was talking to someone in the room, but we didn't hear anyone's voice. The door was locked, and we're unsure what's happening."

The queen glanced at the king for confirmation before recounting Elena's dream, including the details about the silver eyes.

The prophetess listened intently, her eyes narrowing as she processed the information. She began to recite incantations, rummaging through her belongings.

Suddenly, the room's temperature plummeted, sending shivers down the spines of the king, queen..Fear crept into their eyes.

However, the prophetess remained composed. Just then, a low, raspy voice whispered in her ear, "Tell them what they want to hear.keep it simple."

The prophetess's expression remained neutral, but her eyes flickered with a hint of unease.

The eerie chill in the room suddenly dissipated, and the air returned to normal. The king and queen, though still concerned, regained their composure, awaiting the prophetess's response.

The prophetess cleared her throat and spoke, "According to the dream, I believe princess elena is thinking about marriage and is fearful of it. She's creating an illusion in her mind." The prophetess lied, fearing for her life after the devil's warning.

The queen and king exchanged skeptical glances. The king pressed for confirmation, "Are you certain that's the meaning of the dream?"

The prophetess nodded hastily, her eyes darting around the room. She stood up abruptly, "If you'll excuse me, I must go."

The king and queen seemed uncertain, but the prophetess's sudden departure left them with more questions than answers.

The queen turned to the king, her brow furrowed with concern. "Do you think the prophetess told us the truth?" she asked, her voice laced with skepticism. "I have a feeling she lied to us."

The king hesitated, unsure how to respond. Queen Sophia continued, "Elena is only seventeen. Why wouldn't she be thinking about marriage?...

But Queen Sophia's expression revealed her deeper fears. "I thought it was just a simple dream, but now I'm not so sure. What are we going to do?"

Her voice trembled as she added, "She's my only daughter. I won't let anything happen to her."

The king placed a reassuring hand on the queen's shoulder. "Calm down, my dear. We'll find another solution. We'll get to the bottom of this."

The king nodded and turned his attention to the advisers. "What brings you here? Is there a problem?"

The advisers bowed again, their faces etched with concern. "Our farms are dying, Your Majesty. Crops are withering, and strange occurrences have been reported."

The king's expression turned serious. "This is the first time I am hearing of this."

The advisers exchanged worried glances. "These events have begun happening suddenly, Your Majesty. We don't know what's causing them or how to stop it."

One of the elderly men spoke up, his voice trembling. "Your Majesty, I must share something. My son went hunting a few days ago,he came back frightened and told me he told me he saw a group of strange beings... even in the daylight. He was terrified."

The king's eyes widened, his interest piqued as he sat up."strange beings"

The king's curiosity deepened. "Did he describe what these beings look like?" he pressed.

The elderly man shook his head. "My king, I have no idea. He didn't tell me. It's as if something was silencing him."

The other adviser spoke up, his voice laced with foreboding. "My king, I fear trouble is brewing. These strange occurrences have never happened before, and now they're escalating. We need to purify this kingdom. That's why we've come to report this to you, my king."

Queen Sophia sat beside Elena, who had awoken from her slumber. The queen handed Elena a cup of water, which she sipped gratefully.

As Elena returned the cup, Queen Sophia asked, "Elena, is everything alright? You can tell me, I'm your mother."

Elena hesitated before responding, "No, mom, there's nothing wrong."

Queen Sophia's expression turned gentle but probing. "Can you explain your dream to me?"

Elena's eyes widened in distress. "Mom, please, I don't want to remember. I just want to forget."

Queen Sophia sighed. "I know, but telling me might help us understand what's happening. Who were you talking to earlier?"

Elena's voice trembled. "Mom, please, don't make me talk about it."

Queen Sophia decided to keep quiet, but the atmosphere in the room shifted. The lights flickered ominously, and Elena cried out, "Mom, what's happening?"

Queen Sophia grasped Elena's hand. "Let's get out of here." But as they tried to leave, the door slammed shut, trapping them inside.

Elena covered her ears, refusing to listen to any voice that would speak next.Suddenly, everything returned to normal.

Queen Sophia's eyes narrowed. "Something is clearly wrong somewhere."

As she looked at Elena, she saw her daughter trembling with fear. Elena whispered, "Mom, I'm scared."

Queen Sophia enveloped Elena in a warm hug, trying to comfort her.
