Even Augustus Grant had always extended him a degree of courtesy.

He picked up his phone and called Hilda.
"Blue Ridge. The guesthouse. Nate Bullock. You know what happened there, don't you?"
Hilda froze.
It took her several seconds to compose herself before responding in a forced, calm tone.
"I'm not sure what you're talking about."
