Leon froze- Riven was coming?
The words hit Leon like a slap.
His brows rose slowly. "What?"
The crowd quieted just enough to let the words settle in his mind.
Riven was coming here? Alone?
His breath stilled. His body tensed.
And for a brief moment, the alcohol swirling in his blood buzzed louder than usual.
Riven. Coming here. Without Ronan.
Leon couldn't stop the smirk from forming on his lips.
So, Ronan sent Riven instead? That coward. The thought made him snort aloud. What kind of Alpha sends his own mate to deal with potential war?
