Chapter 1 - "The Day Love Stood Still"

Choi Yuna was the kind of girl who turned heads wherever she went. At just fifteen, her beauty was unparalleled, making her the crush of every boy in school and even outside of it. But her heart belonged to one person Park Soo Min, the most handsome and talented volleyball player in high school. They were the perfect couple, admired by everyone.

On their third anniversary, Park Soo Min had a big volleyball match before their special date. He promised Yuna that he would meet her at the bus stop near their school at 3 PM sharp. Yuna, dressed beautifully for the occasion, waited at the designated spot, excitement bubbling within her. But as minutes passed, her enthusiasm began to wane. It was already past 3 PM, and there was no sign of Soo Min.

Just as she was about to call him, a sleek black car pulled up on the opposite side of the road. Her heart skipped a beat as she saw Soo Min stepping out of the vehicle, a radiant smile on his face.

"Yuna! I'm here!" he called out, his voice filled with joy.

Relieved and overjoyed, Yuna waved at him, flashing her brightest smile. "Come fast!" she shouted playfully.

Soo Min chuckled and started running towards her, crossing the road in a hurry. But in the blink of an eye, a speeding blue car came out of nowhere.

BAM!

Time seemed to slow down. Yuna's eyes widened in horror as she watched Soo Min's body crash onto the pavement, blood pooling around him.

"Soo Min-ah!" she screamed, her heart hammering against her ribs. She ran to his side, dropping to her knees, tears streaming down her face.

"Soo Min, wake up! Please, wake up! Don't worry, nothing will happen to you. I won't let anything happen to you. Please open your eyes! Please don't scare me like this!" Her voice was desperate, breaking with each sob.

She looked around frantically, shouting for help. "Please! Somebody call an ambulance! Help us!"

Passersby, drawn by her cries, rushed over. A few people quickly dialed emergency services while others tried to comfort her. Within minutes, the wail of sirens filled the air, but to Yuna, it felt like an eternity.

As the paramedics lifted Soo Min onto the stretcher, Yuna held his hand tightly, refusing to let go. "You'll be okay, Soo Min. Just hold on, please," she whispered, her vision blurred by tears.

As the ambulance doors closed, taking Soo Min away, Yuna felt a deep, gut-wrenching fear settle in her heart.

Would she lose the love of her life on the very day they were meant to celebrate their love?
