Meanwhile, Allen had just stepped out of his office when he spotted Rebecca chatting with the others in the living room. Before he could join them, Rachel noticed him and immediately approached with a determined expression.
"Allen, I've got a report you might want to hear," she said, voice low but urgent.
"Oh?" Allen raised a brow. "What kind of report?"
"It's the military," Rachel replied. "They're planning to move tonight. Their objective is to extract Dr. William out of the city. And based on the intel I've gathered… there's a high chance things are going to get messy in Umbrella's main lab."
Allen let out a quiet hum. "I see. Thank you, love, for the heads-up."
He cupped her cheek and kissed her—slow, intimate, appreciative. Rachel's eyes softened immediately, her mood brightening as if she'd been waiting for that small moment of affection all day.
'Looks like I need to start securing an exit route… not just for my girls, but for the civilians in this city too.'
Allen thought to himself as he moved to the nearby wall calendar. September 15. Good. They still had time—barely, but enough if he acted fast.
Rebecca stepped over, concern already written on her face.
"Are you thinking about something, honey?"
"Yeah," Allen answered honestly. "I'm considering the safest routes for evacuation. I've got a bad feeling… something big is going to hit this city soon."
Rebecca nodded. "I'll get ready as well. Oh—Barry contacted us earlier. He said he wants to meet."
Allen blinked, confused. "Barry's still in the city? I thought he already left."
"He sent his family ahead to L.A," Rebecca explained. "But for some reason, he came back."
Allen sighed and rolled his shoulders. "Alright then. We should meet him first. Anyone else want to come?"
Hera and Aphrodite immediately raised their hands—almost at the exact same time.
"I want to come too. I'm getting bored being stuck in the house," Ada chimed in as she lifted her hand as well.
"Of course," Allen said with a small smile before glancing at the rest of the group.
The others shook their heads, explaining that they had things they wanted to finish, or simply preferred to relax at home where it felt safer. And naturally, Svetlana and Karina would accompany him no matter what—his primary bodyguards never left his side unless he told them to.
Later that afternoon, Allen, along with Aphrodite, Hera, Rebecca, Karina, and Svetlana, headed to Barry's house. They had already agreed to gather there today.
"Hey Barry, I really can't believe you actually came back to this city," Allen said.
"Hey Allen, Rebecca—long time no see. And oh, looks like you brought your wives with you," Barry said with a smile. Well, he was a little surprised that Allen brought his women here too, especially Hera and Aphrodite.
"How have you been, Barry?" Rebecca asked.
"I'm good, thanks."
Then he noticed a new face among them—Ada. "Ohhh Miss Ada, I really didn't expect to meet you again here. By the way… are you and Allen dating now?" Barry asked, a bit curious.
"Well, you could say that," Ada replied while linking both of her arms around Allen's.
"Damn, Allen, you really move fast… charming these beautiful girls," Barry said with a laugh.
Allen just smiled at Barry's teasing.
"So, how is it? Are the others already here?" Allen asked.
"They're inside already—come on in. Oh, and Kevin is here too with the new rookie," Barry said.
"Oh, you mean Leon," Allen said, a bit curious why Leon was also here.
"Yep, come on in," Barry replied.
"Hey everyone, I hope I'm not late," Allen said as he walked into Barry's house with his women. Inside were Kevin, Enrico, and Leon, who seemed to be sitting and chatting.
"Hey Allen, Rebecca, come sit and have a drink. Oh—Miss Svetlana, how have you been?" Enrico greeted them. "And the rest of you, go ahead and make yourselves comfortable," he added, inviting Allen's women to sit on the sofa.
Meanwhile, Leon was quite surprised to see Ada here with Allen's group. Deep down, he couldn't help but wonder what their relationship was. Well, he had a small suspicion that Allen and Ada were dating, especially with Allen's somewhat… let's say playboy nature and his many lovers. Still, it was hard for him to believe—'How could Allen possibly maintain such a romantic life?
Maybe, in the future, if I want to find a girlfriend or something, I should ask Allen for advice.'
"Barry, do you have any non-alcoholic drinks for the three of us?" Hera asked Barry.
"Oh right, I forgot about your pregnancies. Wait—you said three people. Who's the third one? Is it Rebecca?" Barry asked while glancing at Rebecca.
"Oh, the other one is me," Ada said.
That, of course, made Barry, Enrico, and Leon stare in shock. Meanwhile, Kevin, who was still fairly new to knowing Allen, simply grinned and gave Allen a thumbs-up to congratulate him.
"Wow, good job, Allen. Maybe next time I should study under you— you know, for tips on how to knock up a girl quickly," Kevin joked.
"Hahaha!" all the men in the room burst out laughing.
"Good god, Allen, I really can't believe how good you are at building a family," Barry said.
"Well, congratulations to you too, Miss Ada," Enrico added.
Leon merely shook his head, offering Allen a quiet congratulations for the news.
"So, what exactly are we here to talk about? Is this about the latest case we worked on?" Allen asked.
Everyone nodded.
"Yeah," Enrico said, leaning forward. "I've been trying to dig into the origins of that case."
He took a deep breath, going into Detective Mode™.
"As I expected—and based on the evidence I collected—the incident happened because of a viral leak from Umbrella. But I'm starting to think it wasn't an accident. I found proof that someone from Umbrella intentionally dumped their research waste in the disposal zone."
"Someone did that on purpose? Who would—?" Rebecca's eyes widened. "Is that person actually insane? Do they not care about public safety at all?"
Enrico could only shake his head. "No idea who the culprit is."
"So Umbrella is actually responsible for the whole thing," Leon said, shocked.
And honestly, Allen already expected that reaction. Leon was still the new kid, after all.
And Kevin just sat there quietly listening to the conversation. Even though he wasn't a member of the S.T.A.R.S team, he was close friends with many of them, so of course he knew a few things.
"Oh yeah, I also heard Bratt suddenly skipped town right after the cleanup operation at the disposal site," Enrico added, arms crossed.
"Tch… that coward," Barry muttered, rubbing his forehead in irritation. "I swear, that guy's scared of his own shadow. I'm not even surprised. During the last Tactical Rescue mission, he abandoned the entire Alpha Team in the woods just to save his own skin."
Allen raised both hands casually. "Yeah, I'm not commenting on that one," he said with a shrug. "Honestly, it's understandable. Not everyone's built to play hero and throw themselves into danger for others."
"So, what's your plan from here on out?" Leon asked, clearly curious about what his seniors intended to do next regarding the situation.
"Well," Enrico began, "I'm planning to leave the city tomorrow. I was contacted by someone named David Trapp—he's a member of another S.T.A.R.S. branch. He wants me to help investigate a location suspected to be another Umbrella research site, similar to the one in the Arklay Mountains."
"Oh right—Rebecca," Enrico continued, turning to her, "would you like to come along? We're going to need someone with medical expertise, and it seems this David guy specifically asked if you'd be willing to join."
But Rebecca shook her head. "Sorry, Captain, but… I'm going to pass this time. I need to stay here with Allen."
Enrico nodded. "I understand. And don't worry, I won't force you."
The others turned their attention to Allen now, curious about what his plans were.
"Well," Allen said, leaning back slightly, "I'm planning to secure an evacuation route. If an outbreak hits this city, a lot of people will end up trapped… and I don't want that to happen."
"Wow, Allen, I didn't expect you to think that far ahead," Barry said, genuinely impressed. "In that case, mind if I join you? I've got a few people I want to get out of this city too."
"I'm in as well," Kevin added.
"Same here. If it's okay, I'd like to help," Leon said, feeling the same urgency Barry did. At least this was something he knew he could do.
"Of course," Allen said. "Karena's people will contact you if you're interested in joining the operation." He shot Karena a quick glance.
"Leave it to me," Karena replied calmly.
"Well, looks like all of you already have your own plans," Enrico said with a small smile. "Then let's hope luck's on our side." They then exchanged well-wishes, praying for each other's safety—and, of course, for a bit of luck.
.....
As Allen was heading back from Barry's house to return to his apartment, he noticed several helicopters cutting across the sky toward the Umbrella labs.
"Hm… looks like the feds are finally making their move," Ada remarked.
"Then we should start evacuating the girls who can't fight, before the situation in the city gets any worse," Allen said—referring to Alyssa, Cindy, Becca, January, Yoko, and Laura.
"Alright. Leave it to me. If things go south, I'll get them out of Raccoon City immediately," Karena replied.
Rebecca tightened her grip around Allen's hand, silently praying that nothing would happen to their family in the chaos to come.
Meanwhile, inside the Umbrella facility, several operatives wearing gas masks and Umbrella-insignia uniforms moved into the lab with full combat gear. Their mission was clear: secure the G-Virus sample and retrieve Dr. William. They entered through the waste-disposal route beneath Raccoon City—an approach chosen specifically to avoid causing panic in the streets above.
They were accompanied by Daniel and a group of researchers transporting a newly developed bio-weapon. This weapon had been engineered to eliminate another type of biological contaminant known as the Marclophages Bacterial Cell. The bio-weapon was extremely effective at breaking down remaining traces of the T-Virus lingering in the corpses of infected zombies.
The Marclophages Bacterial Cell had been discovered accidentally during ongoing work on the G-Virus. The new organism displayed phagocytic behavior—the ability to ingest and break down foreign particles, such as bacteria, dead tissue, or cellular debris. The cell itself resembled a mass of sticky black gel, made up of hundreds of writhing tentacles that devoured zombies and any nearby bio-organic monsters. The more it consumed, the larger it grew.
With this new weapon, Umbrella could dispose of infected bodies far more efficiently compared to conventional methods like prolonged incineration.
"Alright, this phase is almost complete. Moving on to stage two," Daniel said, heading toward a door leading deeper into Umbrella's underground laboratory.
Daniel checked his watch. Once he finished cleaning up this area, he'd head straight for William's location. He was practically buzzing with excitement—after all, Umbrella had promised him access to other major projects, like the Tyrant Project, once this mission was wrapped up… and, of course, a much bigger paycheck.
...
Meanwhile, on the other side, the Federation's helicopter finally landed around the Arklay Mountains. Thanks to Rachel, they were able to find a secret passage inside an abandoned facility that led toward Umbrella's underground lab.
"Rachel, we've arrived at the gas station you mentioned," the captain said over the radio.
"Okay, you can head inside the station. There's a statue in there that you can pull like a lever, and that will open a hidden door for you to enter," Rachel replied, sitting on the rooftop of a building in Raccoon City near the Umbrella Hospital.
"After you go in, you can take the elevator down to reach the underground train line," Rachel continued while checking her tablet. Well, her task this time was pretty easy and didn't require her to jump directly into the field, so she could relax while eating some snacks as she waited for the chaos that would probably unfold in Umbrella's facility soon.
And of course, after that, the Federation's special forces finally located the entrance Rachel had mentioned, and they immediately began their operation to reach their objective. Moving in a tight formation, they descended into the hidden passageway, their boots echoing against the old concrete as the air grew colder and heavier.
Now, all they had to do was make their way through the abandoned underground subway line—an outdated network long forgotten by the city—using it as a direct route toward the underground laboratory Rachel had pinpointed. The deeper they went, the clearer it became that this place hadn't been touched in years: rusted rails, flickering lights, the distant drip of water, and the oppressive silence that suggested they weren't alone down there.
Still, the team pushed forward, weapons raised and flashlights cutting through the darkness. Their mission was clear, and there was no turning back—the path to Umbrella's buried secrets lay straight ahead.
