Inside Curtis's house, an 11-year-old girl greeted him cheerfully.
"Daddy!" the girl exclaimed, leaping into his arms as he walked through the door.
"Ahh… sweetie, careful, Daddy's carrying something," Curtis replied, though his face lit up with joy at her welcome.
Allen, who had followed him inside, just smiled warmly at the sight of this little family's happiness.
"Sofia, don't be naughty… oh, did you bring a friend home, honey?" Curtis's wife asked.
"Ah, yes. Let me introduce you—this is my friend, Allen Winters. He's a member of S.T.A.R.S. and also works as a researcher at Umbrella," Curtis said as he set his things down. Allen did the same.
"Nice to meet you, my name's Clara," Curtis's wife said, extending her hand.
"Nice to meet you too. I didn't expect Curtis to have such a beautiful wife," Allen replied. He genuinely meant it as a compliment rather than flirting… maybe.
Of course, Clara's face flushed red hearing such praise—especially coming from someone as handsome as Allen. Fortunately, Curtis hadn't noticed.
"Ahh, thank you, Allen. You're very handsome yourself," Clara replied with a smile.
"Daddy, let's play!" Sofia suddenly chimed in, tugging on Curtis's sleeve.
"Sorry, Allen, looks like I have to spend some time with my daughter first," Curtis said apologetically.
"No worries, we can talk later," Allen assured him.
Curtis headed off with his little girl, helping her with her homework and playing along with her games.
"Please, come in. Did Curtis invite you to dinner as well? Luckily, I prepared plenty of food," Clara added with the warmth of a gracious hostess.
Allen nodded, smiling politely. "Yes, I hope I'm not troubling you."
"Of course not. I'm glad my husband brought home a friend," Clara said as she led Allen into the living room. There was still time before Curtis's younger sister Angela was due to arrive.
About 30 minutes later, the doorbell rang. Clara opened the door to greet a young woman carrying a suitcase and personal belongings.
"Welcome, Angela. You must be tired from your trip. Here, let me help you with your luggage," Clara said kindly.
"Ahh, thank you," Angela replied, a little shy. Her sister-in-law always pampered her and treated her like a little girl whenever she visited.
When Angela stepped inside, her eyes fell on a strikingly handsome man sitting on the sofa, sipping coffee. Her heart skipped a beat, thumping hard in her chest. It felt like love at first sight.
"H-hello, are you… who… ah, I mean, what…" she stammered, her words tripping over themselves.
Allen, meanwhile, was taking in her appearance: a blonde-haired beauty with shining blue eyes, wearing a long floral dress. She stood at about 5'9", with a graceful figure and a D-cup chest.
She's truly beautiful, Allen thought to himself.
"Oh, hi. My name is Allen Winters, I'm a friend of Curtis," Allen said as he rose to shake her hand.
"Ahh, I'm Angela Miller, Curtis's sister. You can just call me Angela."
"That's such a lovely name, just like you. And you can just call me Allen," he replied with a warm smile.
Angela, hearing the compliment, naturally blushed.
"Thank you… you're very handsome too, Allen," she said softly.
Not long after, Curtis walked over to them with a smile, hugging his sister to welcome her.
"So, have you two introduced yourselves?" Curtis asked warmly.
"Yes," Allen and Angela answered at the same time, exchanging a brief glance.
"Dinner's ready—how about we talk while we eat?" Curtis suggested, completely unaware that he had just interrupted their moment.
At the dinner table, both Angela and Clara asked Allen plenty of questions—how he had met Curtis, where he was working, and more. Allen happily answered each one with humility, never speaking too highly of himself.
"Hey, Allen, why are you being so modest? You've got your own company, and it's well known in military circles," Curtis said with a shake of his head, clearly aware of Allen's habit of downplaying his achievements.
"Ohh, so you actually have your own company? I was really curious about that," Angela said, clearly captivated by Allen. Their ages weren't far apart, yet Allen's accomplishments were undeniably impressive.
Allen just shook his head lightly before finally explaining about his company—how it produced various technologies like computers and phones for the public, as well as weapons and protective gear for the military and police.
"So you're that Allen Winters?" Angela asked, a little shocked. Of course, she had heard of Allen's company, since the Harvardville Police Department's Special Response Team (S.R.T.), where she worked, was also a regular client of some of his products.
Allen nodded and went on to explain that next month, his company would be releasing a new line of protective gear, with the aim of making it the standard for both law enforcement and the military. However, he admitted it wouldn't be easy, since the government hadn't approved it yet.
Still, Allen didn't seem worried—he only needed to meet Senator Ron Davis and strike a deal. In fact, he had already scheduled a secret meeting in Raccoon City.
After their little chat, Angela shyly asked for Allen's personal contact.
"Allen, could we… maybe exchange contacts?" she asked, her cheeks turning red.
"Of course. Here's mine," Allen replied warmly. There was no way he'd pass up the chance to get closer to a woman as beautiful as her.
Curtis, watching his younger sister's behavior, could only shake his head slightly. He wanted to tell her that Allen was already married—and even had multiple wives—but he didn't want to spoil the mood or make his sister sad. So, reluctantly, he kept quiet.
Inwardly, Curtis could only hope Allen wouldn't hurt Angela. Still, in his eyes, Allen was the kind of man who knew how to take responsibility. Even if he was a bit of a womanizer, Curtis had secretly looked into him before.
And if Allen had known what was in Curtis's heart at that moment, he surely would've silently thanked him—for being such an understanding brother-in-law.
After dinner, Allen and Curtis sat on the porch of the house.
"So, Allen, what kind of business do you want to talk about?" Curtis asked curiously.
Allen, who was looking at the moon shining brightly, said, "I want to build a pharmaceutical branch in my company, and I've already made several medicine formulas ready to be sold, so I need someone I can trust to handle promotion and sales," Allen said while looking at Curtis.
"So what do you think, are you interested? After all, your salary at Umbrella isn't that big, it doesn't even reach a hundred thousand dollars per year. I'll give you double that, plus a 5% bonus from sales profits. How about it, are you interested?" Allen said with a smile.
"Why do you want to build a new branch? Isn't that going to cost a huge amount of money?" Curtis said in disbelief, as if he had just hit the jackpot of his life.
"Money isn't a problem for me. What matters now is that I'm looking for a job candidate, and I think you're the right person I can trust," Allen said casually. At this moment, his money kept piling up and he didn't even know how to spend it.
"Even though we've only known each other for a short time, I can trust you," Allen continued.
Curtis, hearing that, wanted to immediately hug Allen and kiss him on the cheek. "Thank you, Allen, because of you I can finally feel relieved that our family's financial condition can be resolved," Curtis said, moving to hug Allen, but his body was stopped.
"Sorry man, I'm not gay," Allen said.
Curtis, hearing that, felt embarrassed and realized his actions were a bit childish. "Ahh sorry, boss, I just felt happy. Should I start calling you that now?" Curtis said, trying to joke.
"Haha, it's up to you what you want to call me. And you can start working next week. The company branch is in New York, you can contact this number," Allen said, handing over Stuart's contact.
"Ahh… looks like I'll have to move from here," Curtis said.
"Well, I guess you don't have any other choice. And don't worry, my company has provided apartments for employees, just think of it as one of the employee benefits," Allen said with a smile.
"Once again, thank you, Allen. I don't know what to say."
"No problem, I actually feel lucky to meet someone as talented as you," Allen said.
Even though right now he had Excella working with him, that woman was too ambitious and hard to control, and he was worried because Excella might act sneaky behind his back, like selling some BOW weapons on the black market, and he doesn't wanna see Excella acting reckless and dragging his company into trouble.
...
While Allen and Curtis were still chatting, at that moment inside the Umbrella Lab, Annette was finishing the final stage of the G-Virus. Of course, with the help of the research data about Allen creating the super soldier serum before, it made her work very easy.
"Finally, it's done," said Annette as she looked at the green tube that was now in her hand. Annette wanted to laugh because her husband was so stupid and full of delusions, thinking he was the smartest person. With a smile, Annette then placed the serum inside her suitcase, which had been equipped with Pym particles.
Annette was very impressed with this because her lover's research was very practical, even more useful for everyday activities, and whenever she thought of that man, she reflexively stroked her belly.
"I really miss him, I wonder what he's doing right now," said Annette.
But at this moment, Annette still had a few important tasks to hand over to her husband. She was a little annoyed every time she had to meet William. Annette hoped her husband would die soon; she truly didn't want to see that man's face anymore.
Right now, Annette was walking into her husband's private Lab and saw the room looked empty, but soon William came in.
"Annette…~" but before William could finish speaking, Annette just placed the new Anti-virus as her husband requested.
"This is the new antivirus you asked for, with this the cure will work one day after infection. Beyond that, this antivirus won't work," said Annette, who wanted to leave quickly.
William, who saw his wife's attitude now so distant and unwilling to speak to him, was just confused.
On the other hand, Daniel, William's new assistant who overheard their conversation, just remained silent. Well, after all, his arrival as an assistant was only to act as a spy for Spencer and he was assigned to keep an eye on things. He didn't want to get involved in someone else's household matters.
However, William knew about this because Albert Wesker had informed him, and even though he didn't want to share his data with this man, his help was still useful in developing the G-Virus.
William slightly regretted ignoring Annette. He never thought Spencer would be so cunning as to see this opportunity and send someone else to watch him.
But William wasn't too worried because his computer's security was much better than before thanks to the upgrades from Allen's company, so he could still control the situation if someone tried to steal his data.

Meanwhile, Allen, who had just returned from Curtis's house and was now at the apartment, saw Karena and Sherry sitting and watching TV in the living room.
"Hey, honey, where have you been?" said Karena as she stood up and kissed Allen.
"I just went out to get some fresh air and talk business with a friend," said Allen, then sat down with them to enjoy watching TV.
"How's school?" Allen asked Sherry.
"Nothing interesting. By the way, big brother, when can my mom come pick me up? I miss her," said Sherry.
"Don't worry, she'll probably be able to come pick you up tomorrow," Allen replied while pinching the girl's cheek.
Lupo, seeing how Allen treated Sherry, just smiled because Allen would make a really good father.
"Allen," said Karena.
"Yeah, what is it, Clara?" Allen replied. Clara was the nickname Allen used for Karena.
"My daughter wants to meet you, is that okay?" Lupo asked.
"Well, I guess it's fine. But when?"
"My daughter said she wants to meet during this summer break, and at the same time she wants to visit this city," said Karena, though she was a little worried, especially with the current state of the city.
"I don't think that's a problem. And as for her safety, you don't need to worry, we can take your daughter away anytime if the city's situation gets worse," Allen reassured Lupo.
Hearing that, Lupo smiled. "Thank you, Allen," said Karena as she kissed Allen again, and it seemed like they both ignored the little girl who was watching them.
