"Why then?" Susheel thought in his heart. But on the surface he nodded his head as he replied with an expression that represented excitement. "Ok, mother."
Time passed by quickly. Although 12 years of waiting for susheel was hard to endure he still waited. Each day he would try to get information about this world from various people. But unfortunately he was not allowed to leave the mountain, therefore he only talked to mortals. And the mortals couldn't answer all of susheel's question.
12 years passed in a blink of an eye.
Lin Yueqing exited her cultivation session. She would only cultivate for three months straight before exiting and taking care of susheel.
Lin Yueqing called susheel into the room.
Susheel sat in front of his mother his arms seemed to be trembling. But this trembling was not from fear... It was from excitement. Excitement about what he is going to learn. Susheel shook his head as he replied with an expectant gaze. "No, mother please enlighten me." (Author's note: he learned how to speak like that after staying there for 15 years.)
Lin Yueqing's looked at susheel with a soft gaze as she began to speak. "Cultivation is a method to obtain power. In this world one's cultivation shows their social status. If one has high cultivation they would be respected. But if one is only a mortal their lives would treated like that of a livestock.
One could cultivate their body, their soul and their mind. In the end the main purpose for cultivation apart from all the other reasons I mentioned is longevity."
"Longevity? What's that? What is longevity?" Susheel asked.( Its a joke.)
Lin Yueqing looked at susheel and sighed before answering. "Longevity refers to lifespan. The higher your cultivation the longer your lifespan is or in other words the higher your cultivation is the longer you can live."
Hearing the answer susheel hurriedly asked. "Then how do I start my cultivation journey?"
Lin Yueqing quickly replied. "For that you have to awaken your dantian. I believe you should already have sensed the energy that flows through you, right?"
"Hmm. Yes I do indeed feel an energy flowing through me." Susheel replied.
"That energy is what we call qi. There is qi everywhere in this world. Qi is a necessity for cultivators to start cultivation and to continue their cultivation." Lin Yueqing spoke.
"Mother, what cultivation realm are you on?" Susheel asked again with an expectant gaze as always seemingly excited about the reply.
"I am in the core formation early stage realm." Lin Yueqing replied with a proud tone.
"Then are you the strongest?"
"No, your father is stronger than me and moreover core formation realm is not the end of the cultivation journey. As far as we have discovered there are 7 realms. Each much stronger than the previous. I am only at the fourth while your father in other words my husband is at the fifth realm."
