"The world… should fall asleep."
A blinding light burst forth, illuminating the entire world.
Whether they were awake or asleep, all people were forced to open their eyes. In the next instant, the Rinnegan slowly manifested within their pupils.
Inside the Hokage's office, Kakashi struggled with the last remnants of his consciousness.
"Naruto… please…"
Before he could say anything more, his strength failed him.
In his arms, Shizune had already fallen into the illusion.
Not far away, Tsunade looked at Jiraiya. Jiraiya nodded slightly and smiled faintly.
"It seems… Naruto wants to do this to the very end…"
Before Tsunade could respond, both of them were swallowed by the illusionary world.
Naruto's home.
Hinata's eyes were now filled with the Rinnegan. Her brows knitted together as she murmured softly,
"Naruto… Naruto-kun…"
Kushina rushed to her side in panic, shaking her gently.
"Hinata! Hinata! Hinata!"
But it was already too late.
Hinata had entered the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
Somewhere in the Land of Water.
Obito narrowed his eyes, raising a hand to cover them as shock filled his expression.
"What's going on?! Why has the Divine Tree appeared again? Where is Naruto?!"
Rin clutched Obito's hand, her face filled with anxiety.
"Obito… what should we do?"
Obito tried to answer, but in the next instant, his eyes transformed into the Rinnegan.
"Rin… Rin…"
At a ninja training ground.
Sasuke and Itachi stood facing each other.
Itachi asked calmly, "Do you support Naruto's choice?"
Sasuke nodded without hesitation.
At Kaguya's residence.
Toneri had returned. Together with Kaguya, he looked up at the full moon hanging high in the sky.
Kaguya smiled faintly, her expression calm and resolute.
"Uzumaki Naruto… Earth's fate is now in your hands."
Across the entire world, without exception, everyone's eyes were replaced by the Rinnegan.
Naruto clasped his hands together, his expression utterly calm.
"Rise."
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Across the globe, massive roots burst forth from the ground. From these roots, countless branches extended, tightly wrapping around every living being before lifting them into the air.
On the Hokage Rock, Minato stood beside the Third Hokage, gazing down at the village below.
"Minato," the Third Hokage said quietly, "it seems Naruto has finished his performance."
Minato nodded.
"Yes… Third Hokage-sama. Let's go inspect the village together."
The Third Hokage nodded in agreement.
"Perfect timing. We can meet with Fugaku as well."
Within the Uchiha clan district.
Fugaku explained the current situation to the clan members and relayed Naruto's instructions in full.
What surprised him deeply was that not a single clan member objected.
Instead, every Uchiha expressed unwavering determination to carry out Naruto's orders.
Fugaku was deeply moved. He bowed low.
"Everyone… I have failed as clan head. Yet you still listen to my commands. I am truly grateful."
Mikoto stood quietly behind him, looking at her husband with gentle eyes.
The light gradually faded.
The entire world fell into silence.
Naruto slowly lowered his hands and looked down. As far as his eyes could see, the ground was covered in dense Divine Tree roots.
He descended from the sky and landed gently.
Madara, Hashirama, and Tobirama withdrew the barrier and approached him.
Madara crossed his arms and asked, "Naruto, are you going to wait for the chakra fruit to mature now?"
Naruto nodded.
"Yes. Once the chakra fruit is ripe, I will consume it."
Tobirama frowned and asked seriously, "Naruto, didn't you say the Divine Tree would harvest the chakra of the entire planet?"
Naruto remained silent, his gaze fixed on the towering Divine Tree.
Tobirama continued, "If you take the chakra fruit, what will happen to this planet?"
"Enough, Tobirama," Hashirama said calmly.
Tobirama replied firmly, "Brother, I know Naruto is the future of the shinobi world, but I must understand whether this Divine Tree will drain the planet's life completely."
Madara snorted coldly.
"How ignorant. If Naruto truly wanted to take everything, he would have done so long ago. Why wait until now?"
"I still need an answer," Tobirama said sharply.
Naruto took a deep breath.
"I won't take everything. I can control the rate at which the Divine Tree absorbs chakra—from both people and the planet. I will only take a portion, enough to strengthen myself, but not enough to kill them. The same goes for the planet."
Hearing this, Tobirama fell silent.
Hashirama stepped forward and smiled warmly.
"Naruto, Tobirama is only worried about the world. Don't take it to heart. If we didn't trust you, we wouldn't be standing here."
Naruto nodded.
"I understand, Second Hokage-sama."
Tobirama coughed lightly.
"Is there anything I can help with?"
Naruto shook his head.
"No. As I said before, the care of the shinobi world while everyone sleeps will be entrusted to the three of you."
With that, Naruto bowed deeply.
Hashirama nodded solemnly.
"Don't worry, Naruto. We will do our utmost."
Madara and Tobirama nodded as well.
Naruto seemed to sense something. He looked at them and said,
"Please return to the village now and join the Third Hokage and my father."
Raising his hand, Naruto activated the Flying Thunder God Technique, sending the three away instantly.
Afterward, Naruto looked up calmly.
"Since you're here, come down and talk."
A moment later, Urashiki descended from the sky.
He looked at the Divine Tree and laughed softly.
"So you really planted it, Naruto."
Naruto glanced at him.
"Isn't this what you wanted? You said we must use everything we have to face what's coming."
Urashiki grinned greedily.
"Yes. Such rich chakra… if you don't consume it yourself, it would be a shame to leave it for others if you fail."
Naruto chuckled lightly.
"I'm controlling the Divine Tree's absorption speed. Even so, it will still take time."
Urashiki nodded.
"Of course. Even with a planet-sized harvest, the Divine Tree needs time."
Naruto's eyes narrowed.
"So even the Divine Tree… is essentially a device."
Urashiki shrugged.
"At your level, you'd naturally understand. The Divine Tree is both a tool to plunder planetary vitality and a vessel to store chakra."
Listening closely, Urashiki smiled with delight.
"I can hear it… the sound of chakra being swallowed. Like water rushing down my throat."
Naruto sneered.
"Urashiki… your hunger for chakra truly knows no bounds."
Urashiki's expression darkened.
"That's why I cooperated with you. I don't want to remain a hunter forever, handing over the best portions to others."
After a pause, he continued in a low voice,
"To be honest, if you hadn't planted the Divine Tree, I might have stabbed you in the back once you failed."
Naruto's gaze sharpened.
"But now," Urashiki said with a twisted smile, "I want to gamble big. Don't disappoint me."
"The ones sent by the Otsutsuki God may arrive within a few days," Urashiki added seriously. "This may be the last time we speak freely. After they meet me, I won't be able to warn you."
Naruto laughed quietly.
"So soon… It's coming again."
Urashiki turned to leave, calling out one final time.
"Remember, Uzumaki Naruto—even if you devour this planet entirely, if you reach godhood, reviving all life will be trivial."
With that, he vanished.
Silence returned.
Naruto's eyes burned with resolve.
Even Urashiki's words could not earn his full trust. He had only one chance—and failure was not an option.
Naruto sat down cross-legged beneath the Divine Tree.
And waited
