Chapter 563 - Chapter 563: Rin's Answer

Rin and Obito returned to their hotel in Konoha.

As soon as they got back, Obito couldn't stop laughing intermittently, a laugh that seemed to bubble from a happiness he could barely contain.

Rin, noticing his strange behavior, felt confused. Suddenly, she remembered Obito had mentioned something happy earlier, and her curiosity was piqued. She wanted to ask him about it.

So, Rin came and sat down beside Obito.

"Obito," she began, her tone gentle but probing, "when you were talking earlier, you said that if you had anything happy to share, you'd tell me when we got back. Now that we're home, what is it that makes you so happy?"

Obito glanced at Rin, taking in her current form—the body reincarnated from the earth, her innocent features, and, most importantly, her eyes. Soon, Naruto would help him completely resurrect Rin. At that moment, he would truly see Rin as she had been in his memories. The thought filled him with joy, and he laughed again.

"Hahaha!"

Rin narrowed her eyes, pretending to scowl, as though she might scold him the next moment.

Obito raised a hand defensively. "I'm sorry, Rin! I'm really, really happy! Just thinking about it makes me feel joyful!"

Rin leaned forward, biting her lip, and pinched Obito playfully.

"Ouch! Rin! What are you doing? That hurts!" Obito groaned, wincing.

Rin snorted. "All this time, you've been talking about happy things, but I have no idea what they are! You're being so mysterious!"

"I'm warning you, Obito. If you try to trick me again, I will—"

Seeing her feigned anger, Obito leaned closer, intrigued. "What will you do?"

Rin squinted at him, her eyes narrowing. It seemed this stubborn man needed a little push. Without hesitation, she grabbed Obito's…

"Oh, Rin! Let go! Don't… Why are you holding that? Really!" Obito exclaimed in pain, caught off guard as his most sensitive spot was in Rin's grasp.

Blushing, Rin said firmly, "I want to see if you'll tease me any further. Tell me! What is making you so happy?"

Obito, still in pain, pleaded, "I said I'll tell you! Just let go first!"

Rin crossed her arms and snorted. "If you don't tell me, I won't let go!"

Obito, flustered, nodded eagerly. "I swear! I'll tell you! I'm not showing off anymore, just let go first, and I'll explain right away!"

Rin tilted her head, skeptical. "Really?"

Obito nodded repeatedly, like a nervous bird pecking at the ground.

Seeing his sincere attitude, Rin finally released him. "Alright, tell me then!"

Obito rubbed the spot she had pinched, then looked earnestly at Rin. "Naruto promised me… he will completely and fully resurrect you!"

Rin froze, stunned by his words. Her brow furrowed, and she fell into deep thought.

Obito, seeing her hesitation, grew confused. "What? You're not happy to hear this?"

Rin exhaled slowly, sighing. "Obito… it's actually better if Naruto doesn't fully resurrect me."

Obito sat up suddenly, bewildered. "Why?!"

He could not comprehend her words.

Rin looked at him patiently. "Obito, you're not thinking clearly. Naruto is the hero of this world; every move he makes influences the future of the ninja world. If he resurrects me completely… what about the others?

"Have you considered that other people might come to Naruto and say, 'Please help me resurrect so-and-so!'? What will Naruto do then? His body can only handle so much. Resurrection is a heavy burden!

"Even if you resurrect me, what about everyone else? People will feel unbalanced! When imbalance arises, gaps form. These gaps may be invisible on the surface, but behind the scenes, unexpected events could occur!

"Obito… don't cause unnecessary trouble for Naruto or Kakashi. Don't ask them to resurrect me fully."

Obito's expression darkened. "Rin… you know how important you are to me. If Naruto hadn't promised to fully resurrect you, I wouldn't have turned back in the first place!"

Rin reached out and touched his hand gently. "Fool… I know I'm important to you, but what about the others? Don't they have someone important to them too?"

Obito waved dismissively. "I don't care about anyone else. I only care about you!"

Seeing his stubbornness, Rin smiled softly. "Alright… we won't argue anymore. Let's go to bed first."

To comfort him, she asked Obito to sleep. There was no point in continuing the discussion. Rin understood his heart, and she planned to speak to Naruto and Kakashi tomorrow personally.

The next morning, Obito woke and took Rin out for breakfast. Afterward, he had another plan.

"Rin… let's go out!" he said eagerly.

Rin tilted her head. "Huh? Obito, where are we going?"

Obito only smiled mysteriously. "You'll know when we get there. Don't ask so many questions!"

Seeing his determined attitude, Rin realized this was related to their conversation the night before.

Without waiting for her response, Obito activated Kamui, instantly teleporting them.

On a bright, sunny day, Obito brought Rin to the park they often visited as teenagers.

"Rin," he said softly, "forget everything from last night. Let's just play together, like we used to!"

Rin smiled, seeing Obito return to his usual cheerful self. She nodded.

The park was beautiful, filled with vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and the cheerful chirping of birds. The fragrance of flowers filled the air.

They sat on a bench, basking in the warm sunlight and gentle breeze.

Obito looked at Rin, who was gazing into the distance with a serene smile. "Rin… what are you thinking about?" he asked softly.

Rin returned to the present moment, smiling. "I was thinking… we should spend more time like this in the future. Just enjoy these peaceful moments together."

Obito reached for her hand and held it gently. "Of course. We'll always be together. No matter what happens, I'll always be by your side."

Rin's eyes glistened with tears of emotion. She threw herself into Obito's arms, hugging him tightly. Obito held her just as tightly, feeling her warmth against him.

After a moment, Rin pulled back slightly. "Obito… let's go on the swings!"

Obito nodded, taking her hand. They sat together on the swing. Obito pushed gently, and the swing moved slowly. Rin closed her eyes, smiling as the wind brushed past her.

After a while, they lay on the grass, gazing at the blue sky and drifting clouds. Rin listened intently as Obito recounted stories from their childhood. His words were vivid, bringing back cherished memories.

"Rin… let's go somewhere else," Obito said suddenly.

Once again, he activated Kamui. This time, he transported them to a scene from the past. Obito had been injured here, though he had hidden it. Rin noticed, gently pulled his hand, and treated his wounds.

Obito looked at Rin, nostalgia and affection in his eyes. "Rin… do you remember this place?"

Rin scanned the surroundings, then smiled softly. "Yes… we've been here before, completing missions together."

Obito smiled faintly. "Rin… you once held my hand here and promised me that you'd always watch over me, that you'd never hide anything. You said you'd always care for me until I became Hokage."

Rin murmured, moved, "Obito…"

Obito laughed at himself. "Rin… I always kept my promise. But you… you thought I was dead, and you were willing to risk your life to protect the village. But I wasn't dead! I'm still here!

"When I returned, you were already gone… The promises you made to me… were they meaningless?

"Now, Naruto has given me the chance to be with you. You're choosing not to use it. Does that mean those promises are lies?"

Rin's eyes filled with tears, shaking her head. "No, Obito… everything I said was true."

Obito took her hands firmly. "Rin… promise me. Let's fully resurrect you, live for ourselves, and fulfill our promises together. Naruto agrees, so he has his reasons. This time… we can live for us. Okay?"

Rin looked into his eyes, the depth of his emotions moving her. Unknowingly, she nodded, silently agreeing
