"I don't care if you are beside me or seven seas away. I just want to sleep alone and not with you by my side. Now, will you let me go, Mr Dominic D'Amico?"
She passed me a wide and sarcastic smile and I smiled back, a genuine one.
"But it didn't seem like that the night we slept together or that time in the bathroom on your first night here." A small smirk was playing on my lips as I spoke.
I was enjoying it. This teasing, back-and-forth banter with her. It felt almost like we were a normal couple. No danger, no secrets, no politics. Just her and me.
She glared at me and if I thought she didn't have an answer to that, I was wrong.
"You were standing stark naked in front of me. I was naked. How do you think one's body will react to that? That was just my body's reaction. Nothing else."
"Oh. And what about that night we spent here on my bed? I wasn't naked at first in the bathroom that night." I pretended to think and she let out a huff.
