Chapter 28: Limited Training Time.
Evening, fourth day after the emergence of the portals.
Bright had accumulated so much stress over the past few days,coupled with the injuries from his fights, he had felt like someone who might fall and never get up again.
Even sleeping for the whole of the previous day couldn't take the fatigue away.
He had desperately needed the rest.
Now, after waking up in the evening, he finally felt relaxed.
Bright sat on the bed feeling groggy.
He stretched and yawned while getting off of the bed.
He looked around the room and found Emily sitting in her couch, wearing a crop top and shorts.
She was intently watching the news on the television.
It seems she noticed the disturbance from Bright because as write walked behind her, she turned around to look at him.
"You finally decide to wake up, sleeping beauty?"
Bright answered with a kiss on her cheeks.
"You're annoying and your mouth stinks."Emily then got up and dragged Bright to a door in one corner of the room.
It lead them to her bathroom.
She then took an unused toothbrush and put on some tooth paste and handed it over to Bright.
Bright took it albeit while seemingly disturbed.
His focused only on some places >.<
Emily, seeing this pinches his side making Bright wince.
"Ouch, what was that for?"
"I'll gouge your eyes out" Emily threatened.
"We're practically a couple now. What's wrong with it. Besides, I haven't seen you wearing this much revealing clothes before." Bright said making Emily blush.
She hurriedly got out of the bathroom while telling him to take a bath as well.
"You should hurry up. You haven't eaten all day." She added behind the closed doors.
"Alright." Was Bright's reply as he quickly went through the process.

"Eat more Bright, the food is still warm."
"Alright." Bright replied mouth full.
After a while, both Emily and Bright had eaten their fill.
Wiping his mouth, Bright asked," What's the time?"
"Don't know check it yourself." She said while tossing something to Bright.
Bright caught it deftly and saw it was his phone.
"Hey, be careful with it."
"It's just a phone. It's still early though. What do you want to do?"
Bright checked the phone and saw the time, 5:39 pm.
"I would like to practice my flames but you know fire. Wouldn't want to burn down this fancy place." Bright said.
"Alright, get rid of the robes and put that on."
"But I didn't bring any extra."
"You can wear them. They'll fit. And don't ask weird questions." Emily said then added," meet me outside afterwards."
"Alright."

Bright and Emily stood infront of a heavy double door that apparently lead to their training room.
Emily decided to take Bright here for his elemental practice.
On their way, Bright had found the mansion surprisingly empty aside from the maids and security people they occasionally passed by.
There were some few cars parked on the driveway leading to the building.
"Elijah and mom went out in the afternoon. Dad brought some acquaintances. They probably went out with fewer cars and left the extra cars behind.
Probably want to be as conspicuous as possible."
"That sounds.... well....."
"You don't need to think too much.
He deals with the local gang and in other shady businesses.
Helps them clean their spoils. You know, their robbery stuff and other shady things.
And he is very good with it."
"Umm, good for you then."Now Bright didn't know how to take that.
He was already suspicious.
Emily could easily wield gun in public and faced no consequences. She showed no fear.
Heck, he wouldn't be surprised if even Elijah had a gun on himself.
"And nobody caught on?" Bright asked in a low voice.
"We are here." Emily said.
She then took a device akin to a remote and pressed.
There was clicking sounds then the door open on their own.
Bright gulped.
What is this?
Why is this place empty?
He turned to Emily.
"Is this a prank?"
"Stupid guy, you only need a secluded and an empty place to not set things on fire."
Oh right. I forgot.
Hahahaha.
Bright gave an awkward chuckle then followed Emily in.
Inside the room was spacious. It's walls were brown and unassuming.
"You shouldn't get close okay?"
Bright told Emily to stand there and not get close.
Then he went and sat in the middle of the room.
He sat in a lotus position and closed his eyes.
He then summoned his status and studied for a while before dismissing it.
"Ok, I will check ignition first then fireball then elementalization.
Ignition was self thought. It's heat wasn't very powerful. I should increase the heat and make it deadly.
[Ignition] (Basic): You can now generate small bursts of flame at will. Power increases with mastery.
Then I should increase my proficiency in fireball.
Then elementalization.

For the next five hours, Bright learnt many things.
First, the energy that helps him create fire.
It seems his abilities depend on stamina and an unknown energy that bright and Emily agreed to call mana.
