Long ago before cities where the Asian coast had five Kingdoms named, KINGS, WHOOPS, VILLE, ARCADES, THRUANS.
They all had power rankings, masters, rulers, and warriors amongst every citizen in their kingdoms, The power ranking levels are from
A - F, the highest rank were the A rank warriors.
As an A rank warrior you will either be a ruler or a highly respected master, but the A rank warriors were few in every kingdom as two in an entire kingdom.
the B rank warriors are mostly masters,
the C rank warriors are very respected warriors most of them have graduated to become the Ruler personal guard , the D rank you are qualified to become a Kingdom protector, the E rank are mostly normal apprentice same as F rank just that the F rank are not allowed to interfere in any Kombat because they are known to be very weak warriors.
But the All rank warriors answer to the Overlord.
Now about the overlord it's more like traditional, every kingdom will eventually have an overlord, but it's one at the time,
The overlord must be an A Rank warrior and the most powerful in the kingdom,
But once he passes away the overlord soul is reborn in the next kingdom's most powerful A rank body.
That way the Overlord remains on earth..... And the other warriors live together as one.
However the first overlord was the first A rank warrior named LORD RICHIMARO
he was a citizen of the Kings kingdom, but as time went on they were other Overlord as follows.
LORD JIZUTU from the whoops , LORD HELMA from villes, EMPRESS FIKI from arcades , LORD NIJATU from thruans , LORD SHELDU from kings, EMPRESS VIOLET from whoops, AND LORD LEASH from villes.
So traditionally the next overlord is going to be an A Rank warrior from the ARCADE.

It was a bright morning where a kid from the arcades told his master that he would want to become a ruler.
Well master olark looked at him and said "Look at young kalamari having the dream of becoming a ruler "(he laughs) and said "boy you can be what ever you want as long as you believe and push pass your limit , well some say work. but i say push pass your limits because the only limitation you have is yourself".
Then kalamari was a ten years old apprentice
With so much talent, master olark made him his best student even though he was the youngest.
Kalamari was an f rank warrior his training was limited due to his age, but young kalamari was always training and perfecting his gifts alone during late hours, master olark had older apprentices of different ranks.
His strongest apprentice was WHUJI a C rank warrior, he was 22 years of age , a strong handsome warrior that was said to be the face of master olark class.
Master olark was an A rank warrior, he is one of the two A ranks in Arcades.
The second A rank warrior is master Nina kalamari's mother, she is an A Rank warrior who happened to have her class , well kalamari was a student of master olark class not that of his mother's.
She always watched him training but she was afraid of losing him because he was still an F rank warrior, Nina happens to be the only parent of kalamari.
Lost her husband during an A rank battle.
In the Kings kingdom "Sire your ambition will soon be accomplished. our assassins have made their way into the gathering of Rulers your presence will be needed there"(the servant said to the Ruler of KINGS, while bowing down)
Once in every year the Overlord meets with the Rulers in a gathering and judges every complaint made by all the kingdom.
He makes provisions and hear their opinions on a current problem and make sure the five kingdoms are in alliance.
This even happens once in every year.
So this time all the Rulers had a complaint to make.
The ruler of Arcade,ARCADE OLARK.
The ruler of whoops, WHOOPS ADOLPHUS. The ruler of kings, KING VETH.
The ruler of ville , VILLE JINU.
The ruler of thruans, THRUANS YENTUSKI. And the OVERLORD LEASH.
This year something was different, the kings ruler Veth was the last person in his blood line he was the youngest ruler amongst all the Rulers, thus he is an A rank warrior but he is 22 years of age so the experience he had as an A rank was limited because of his age, but he was the ruler of Kings anyways.
He lost his father not so long ago and ever since Veth has grown into something no one can stop, he is feared by the council, masters, warriors and citizens of Kings, they respect and follow his commands.
He has always wanted to Avenge the death of his Father, so he was coming up with a deadly plan.
"All hail lord leash " says the host of the gathering. They all raise and hail the overlord as he enters the Arena. Not only the rulers and the overlord came for the gathering, councils and guards sharing the feast do attend the gathering.
So the gathering went on as always after all arguments and judgement it comes to a happy ending with feast, drinking and musical harps playing.
All rulers were feasting as the Overlord was brought his meal by a guard, veth slowly took a cup of wine with one eye looking at the overlord as he eats.
After the gathering the rulers all left to their various kingdoms.
The next day at the arcades kingdom "you have to let the CHI(mana) in you flow through your body" says master olark as kalamari was training, kalamari kept on mastering mana flow.
Well it was only a matter of time till he masters it, the other apprentice where all resting when the neighboring kingdom news caster ran in screaming "the overlord is dead, the overlord is dead, the only is dead" the entire arcade froze in shock and fear , the other kingdom have also gotten the news and all the Rulers and councils tried calming their kingdom down to reduce the panic,
Meanwhile the Kings kingdom were preparing their army to launch an attack on arcades.
"Sire your purpose is about to be achieved, the overlord is dead now the only thing standing in your way is the Arcades" the personal adviser said to Veth.
In the arcade, the ruler gathered all masters and councils to talk to them about the overlord recantation in arcades.
Traditionally the overlord soul is reborn immediately in the body of someone from the neighboring kingdom and by accordance overlord leash is from villes and the next kingdom after Thruans is the Arcades then after Arcade is the Kings.
So the arcades ruler gathered all masters and councils to talk about the signs they see when the overlord soul is reborn in an A rank warrior and technically every master and councils are either A rank and B rank, so it must be one of them.
One of the signs is glowing eyes, but after all incantations are made on all Masters and council they found out that none of them possessed the soul of the overlord.
"This is a mistake", "this is impossible, "one of us must whild the soul of the overlord" the councils and masters murmurs
Master olark puts his head down to think.
As the gathering was still going on the masters and councils heard noises, heavy matching foot steps and explosion from within their kingdoms.
The kingdom protectors stood their guard to stop the kings from invading.
The king's soldiers stopped moving and their ruler VETH stood in front of them with his sword putting on an angry smile.
"As we all know the Overlord has left us and one of you possesses his soul" Veth says as the masters and councils walk out to stand for their kingdom.
"Well we all could come to an agreement. give me the new overlord and I may spare the arcades" Veth says.
"You're in no position to demand for the overlord" said master olark.
"We will give you one last chance to take your army and leave this instant or else".
"or else what ?" Asked Veth
"I have already taken down the Overlord leash what makes you think anyone in the arcade can stop me?"
"who said anything about stopping you ?" Said master olark.
"we are going to put an end to your life"
Veth opened his eyes in shock
without hesitation veth commands his army to wipe them all out.
The children of Arcades were all in their homes, as the great war between the Arcades and kings goes on in the land of Arcades.
Every master, councils, warriors and apprentice of Arcades fought for together.
Young kalamari was in his house alone when a king's soldier burst in through the wall of his house and stood up slowly as kalamari looked at him with fear, and found out he is just a soldier, then he gave an angry smile and punched him outside with god like lighting.
The masters kept on fighting as the kings kept on attacking.
Master Nina wiped three B ranks from kings without losing a sweat.
While she was fighting she quickly remembered her son at home and softly said "my kalamari".
Master olark kept on wiping both high ranks and low rank warriors from kings.
Whuji the C rank warrior attacked Veth alongside other masters and he was giving the better blows.
He wasn't holding back, he was told to go check up on young kalamari by master olark.
Meanwhile, Kalamari was dealing with so many soldiers from kings and he saw it as fun, until he got kicked by a C rank warrior from kings. "Boy you are surprisingly strong, you took out eight of our soldiers all by yourself, (looked at him on the ground smiling) I will make your death quick so you don't get to miss mummy" the C rank warrior said.
As he was about to lay a blow, whuji the c rank apprentice caught his hands and said leave the kid alone and pick on someone your own size.
Whuji blasted him with his flaming mana, walking closer as he kept on dodging and giving punches to the c rank from kings, matched him to the ground and summoned light blast from the sky and burnt his head off.
He turned and asked if kalamari was ok ?.
Then he asked kalamari if he took out the other soldier by himself?, "Yes I did and it was not that big of a deal". Said kalamari as whuji looked in surprise saying in is mind "I didn't think an F rank kid can even defeat one soldier, how did he drop all these bodies?".
Master Nina went to the house and saw the house scattered and broken "oh no no no where's my baby boy" she said, as an A rank master from kings stabbed her heart from behind and said "Nina you have been my number one target since the day you became an A rank warrior" (smiling) master Nina softly laughs and said "you should have gone for the head if i was your target", she fades out of the sword and separated the A rank master's spine from his body.
Then she falls to the ground and holds her chest as she bleeds, "I am sorry kalamari. I hope you are safe wherever you are. i love you and my soul will always be with you" then she died.
Kalamari and whuji left and kept on fighting kings soldiers together as a tag team, then saw master olark fighting the kings ruler Veth alone.
Arcades were losing their citizens bit by bit, warrior by warrior, apprentice by apprentice, their world was coming to an end.
Veth and master olark were both A rank warriors so their fight was disastrous, then whuji and kalamari joined to support master olark.
Back to back they kept on laying blows but Veth seems to be very strong he took all three of them at once, beat master olark till he couldn't move his body, held whuji on his neck and riped out his heart,
"No!!!!" kalamari screams, then his eyes where glowing yellow, he ascends slowly surrounded by God like glowing Aura.
Master olark and Veth looks at each other in shock and surprise,
then he blasted maximum amount of mana at veth.
Veth was blasted out of the palace and was burnt seriously.
Then kalamari descended as master olark held him and said "kalamari we have lost you can't be here, the council could not find the new overlord but i did, you wanted to be a ruler now the soul of the overlord lives in you. you must survive and rebuild the Arcade. I have always known you were special. may the souls of the late masters guide you kalamari" he looks at veth as he gets up slowly and said "go go, i will take it from here run as far as you can till this is over. you are the chosen one kalamari".
Kalamari looked at him with fear and ran into the woods.
Then the king's masters came and pinned master olark to the ground as veth walked in, saying "Find the kid and bring him to me,(looked at olark and said) you made a big mistake".
(Breathing heavily while running)
Kalamari didn't stop, the masters and warriors of kings didn't stop chasing him till he fell of a cliff down into a water fall, they couldn't find his body so they assumed he was dead, they didn't know he was the one possessing the soul of the overlord, only veth noticed but he didn't quite believe it, because kalamari wasn't an A or B rank warrior.
Finally they wiped out all warriors in the arcades, enslaved the surviving citizens and lay waist to the remaining living things in Arcades.
It was a brutal wipe and Veth was still not the overlord. he's plan was to kill the overlord and the new one so the soul of the overlord will be reborn in him.
So he sent a guard to poison the overlord with a meal made with black rose potion during the annual gathering of Rulers and councils.
But he couldn't find the overlord in Arcades so he decided to wipe every Arcades warrior so no one will be left to whild the soul of the overlord.
