Chapter 15 - Arthour Notes

The Cosmology of Aeltharion: The Weave of Eternity

1. The Primordial Dawn

Before time, there was only the Void-Sea, an endless expanse of potential. Within it stirred two opposing forces: Persu, the Shaper ( Light) , Lugas ,the Unraveling (Chaos, Destruction, Darkness) and Primorth,( Creation) and .Their battle birthed the first vibration of existence, a cosmic hum that wove the Tapestry of Aeltharion—the fundamental fabric of reality.

From their struggle, three great cosmic beings emerged, known as the Triumvirate of Being:

Aezorith, the Thought – the embodiment of knowledge, mind, and destiny.

Vaelith, the Flame – the force of passion, energy, and transformation.

Orzuth, the Abyss – entropy, shadow, and the boundary between life and death.

Each of these beings contributed to shaping the universe, weaving laws into the Tapestry.

2. The Layers of Existence

Aeltharion consists of multiple planes of existence, layered like threads in the cosmic loom:

The Celestial Loom – The highest realm, where the Triumvirate dwells. Here, the Weave is perfect, and reality flows as intended. The Loom's Light births souls and stars.

The Mortal Realm – Aeltharion's heart, where mortals shape their fate, altering the cosmic design. Time, choice, and struggle define this world.

The Underweave – A chaotic, semi-formed layer where forgotten thoughts, lost dreams, and dying gods fade. This is the home of ancient horrors and rogue deities.

The Void-Sea – The remnants of the pre-existence war, where Nyxthar's fragmented power lingers, seeking to unravel the Tapestry.

3. The Cosmic Cycle: The Weaving and Unweaving

Time in Aeltharion is cyclical. Each age is a Great Weaving, where civilization, magic, and gods thrive, only to be followed by an Unraveling, when entropy and chaos take over, breaking reality before the cycle begins anew.

Legends say that if the Unraveling is ever complete, the Tapestry will be destroyed, and only Void-Sea will remain.

4. The Role of Mortals

Unlike gods, mortals are unique because they can alter the Weave with Willcraft—the power to change fate through sheer determination. Some mortals, known as Weavers, can manipulate the fabric of reality, pulling threads of destiny to create miracles or horrors.

Prophecies speak of a final Weaver who may one day mend the Tapestry permanently or tear it apart forever.

5. The Gods and the Shattered Ones

The gods are echoes of the Triumvirate's will, ruling aspects of existence (war, knowledge, love, death). Some, however, have fallen from the Weave—these are the Shattered Ones, corrupted beings who now seek to break the cosmic order.

6. Magic: The Threads of Power

Magic is drawn from the Tapestry itself, each thread representing a different force:

Golden Threads – Divine magic, tied to the Celestial Loom.

Silver Threads – Arcane magic, pulling from the Weave's natural energy.

Shadow Threads – Forbidden magic, drawn from the Underweave or Void-Sea.

Mastery of these threads allows some to ascend beyond mortality, becoming part of the cosmic Weave itself.
