Chapter 10 - Meet The New You

Every ounce of your body was inflamed with pain. The man you were fighting was like no other that you had fought. His punches landed every time, and he never seemed to be tired.

You, on the other hand, were tired, bloody, and just wanted to be done.

"I will beat you." You mutter through gritted teeth.

"I can do this all day." Was his only reply.

This was the same man Bucky had kidnapped from the Avengers Compound. He looked completely different from what he used to. His bright blue eyes had shifted to a dull grey, and his hair had become short and red from dye that HYDRA had put in it. He looked almost like a completely different person.

Some things hadn't changed. He still had the same build, and his attitude was the same. Well, you think it is the same since you didn't know him beforehand.

All of his punches were surprisingly accurate. If he didn't look so young, you might think he was trained in the military. Yet there was something old in his eyes that made it seem like that could be possible.

You barely avoid his punch as his fist sails by your face. For the first time, you were able to dodge him, over and over again. He was getting tired. You fake a swing to his face and then slam your fist into his gut.

He grimaces a little but is otherwise unfazed. His swings start coming slower, and yours start going faster. Every ounce of your body is drenched in sweat, but you don't care. All you want to do is beat this man.

Right as you are about to send the best punch, a HYDRA agent summons you. You stalk over and glare at the agent.

"What?" You ask, acid coating your words.

"You have a new mission. Follow me."

The agent walks out, and you slowly follow him.

Whatever the situation is, it can't be good, especially considering how the agent appeared to be behaving in a frigid manner.

You notice that the agent walks at a fast pace, too fast for it to be something small. This leads you more to the conclusion that whatever is happening is bad. After all, you have gotten better at noticing how someone reacted in order to understand a situation.

The agent takes a turn down a hall that you have no memory of. Perhaps it was new, and you had just never been there, but then again, you remembered every part of the HYDA base.

At the end of the hall is a metal door with a yellow glow leaking out around the edges. Loud noises echo out of it as if a gigantic metal giant were rampaging through the room.

A couple more steps and you and the agent reached the door. He paused and turned to you.

"Go." He said as he swung open the door.

Inside was a cluster of machines connected to a chair-like device in the center of the room. All around are a bunch of colors flashing green and red. Lots of computers are scattered across the room. The chair had two lights above it that shone down onto the chair. On the chair were cuffs that would clamp someone's arms down. It looked like something made for torture.

You step through the door even though every ounce of your body tells you to turn and run. The metal stairs clank as you walk down them towards the chair.

All of the HYDRA agents in the room turn and face you. The one who looks in charge, a bald man with a sharp black suit, walks over to you with one of the fakest smiles you have ever seen.

"Please take a seat, Agent. We have a few important questions that require your prompt response."

You just stare at him blankly, trying to figure out if there was any other place other than the contraption to sit down at.

"Now." The man said in a harsh tone.

You nod and slowly sit down. Every ounce of your body is telling you this is a bad idea. So much of you wishes that you were back in the training room, fighting that man who could never lose. Everything about this room had a sense of danger.

The seat gives off a little zap as you sit down in it. That just made you even more sure that something bad would happen.

"Do you remember what happened two days ago?" He asked, staring you straight into your eyes, seeming to shoot icy daggers out of his own.

"No. I have no recollection of any events in the past couple of days." You reply.

Pain streaks across your face as his hand makes contact with your cheek. You bring your hand up to feel it as a sharp stinging explodes.

"Lies. Tell me the truth, or we will kill you."

"Then kill me." You say in a diplomatic tone.
