"Alright, I'll listen to you."
Lin Chuqiao immediately brightened up, stood up from his lap, and tidied his slightly crumpled skirt:
"I'm going to the nearby seafood market to buy groceries now. Today I'll make steamed perch, along with your favorite braised pork ribs, and some fresh bamboo shoots. How does that sound?"
"It's all up to you."
Fang Cheng nodded with a smile.
"Then I won't be polite."
Lin Chuqiao beamed with a smile and brushed the messy strands of hair behind her ear:
"Today, I'll wield the spatula and let you see my cooking skills."
As she spoke, she stepped her long legs forward, clicking her high heels, and quickly walked out of the office.
Watching Lin Chuqiao's energetic silhouette disappear at the doorway, Fang Cheng smiled and shook his head.
Then he turned his swivel chair, directing his gaze towards the outside of the floor-to-ceiling glass wall.
The noontime sun shone upon the sea, shimmering and infinitely blue.
